So I'm working on a track made with Beatorator. Sinds I'm not a sound engineer maybe you could give
me some advice on a technical level. This track is far from done, it needs a lot of variety, but I think
it sounds way too aggressive or compressed.

Thanks!

I made this track in collaboration with DJ Ryznup. We make our tracks with the PSP (CFW FTW!) so it's easy for us to share our
saves. DJ Ryznup brought up this idea so I received his saves and I give him mine.

So I worked on his track 'Malicious Men' and added different drums, bass, strings and piano riffs without altering
the original melody line. It's one of the few tracks I actually finished ;D

I've send the mp3 and the saves to DJ Ryznup yesterday but I'm still waiting for his reaction.
I can't post the track before Ryznup approved it.

Stay tuned!

Non-MUSIC/MTVMG / Amigamix with Cooledit
September 13, 2009, 10:12:22 AM
Many years ago I tried to make a long Amiga mix in the style of Ben Liebrand. Software I used was Cool Edit Pro. Beats ripped from everywhere. This is my first attempt:

It's very boring sometimes, so you've been warned!

Used Amiga tunes AFAIK: Bodyblows, Chaos Engine, Nicky Boom, Arabian Nights, Fairlight carcktune, Elfmania (yeah, way to long),
Boulderdash, Elf.

Non-MUSIC/MTVMG / Another old track with breaks.

This 'track' is also made with Reason. Nothing special. More like an experiment.

So I made this as an attempt to copy one of my fav. bands.
It's from years ago, far from finished and short:

Non-MUSIC/MTVMG / Creatormusic - Beach

This track was made by Creatormusic using Reason. He used some samples of his 2-year old cousin and some vocals from
a girl.

Introductions / Hi, I'm Smates and new on this site!
August 09, 2009, 08:32:32 AM
Hi, I'm Smates and new on this site. My friend (Creatormusic) and I (Keithsonic) are making music with Music2000 on PS1.
Sometimes we make a track together, he makes the song and I add beats. Creatormusic likes to make orchestral-like tracks
with lots of strings and other instruments like guitar, flute and trumpet.

I think it's a great program and everytime I use it I learn more tricks.

Quality whise it's not comparable with progs like Reason, Renoise or Cubase but if you are creative you can make nice tracks with it.

Right now I use M2000 on my PSP with the use of pops (emulator). The quality is almost as good as on the PS1 but with some sound glitches here and there. Only 'problem' is how to transfer my PSP-saves to the PS1 memorycard. I manage to transfer some M2000 memcard blocks to the PSP so I could load and edit songs I made with the PS1. Any suggestions?

I've uploaded some great tracks in Music Showcase ->Ambient/Experimental/Other:

http://www.mtv-music-generator.com/index.php?board=27.0

Please listen to the tracks and post your opinion.

BTW: Great site! I never new there was such a dedicated site for M2000/MG.

Ok, this one is very experimental. It can be very boring so you've been warned. Basic melody from C64 game Battleships and I added the beats. As you can hear I tried to make some different breakbeats here and there. It's not the best song but who cares?
Oh, and it's very long 16.45 !!!

Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / Keithsonic - Nameless_beta
August 08, 2009, 02:02:33 PM
This track was made on the train to work. Converted M2000 to PSP. There are some glitches but some of them are caused by the PSP; emulation is not always 100%. Track is not finished yet but this should work.

Please post your feedback!

This is from the same song as Track01 but remixed. I add the beats and lowered the trumpet. Enjoy!
