HOWDY!

Listening -

Like the harp (think its a harp) . Nice progression on the bass. Very nice build up forming (also forgot to mention the nice use of Choir/ooo Pad with gives a nice mood to it). Really like the synths @ 3:30

Fast and that melody is catchy as hell. All the sounds within this track makes it sound just so brilliant. I love all the variations of the melody as the song progresses , the synths backing it up and what I'm assuming is pad/strings way in the back and thats not forgetting the drums and sfx. I've kinda dabbled in dance and much like F2S I'd love to be able to write something like this.

Already liking the chord progression. Melodys in...very nice its got this amazingly chilled laid feel to it. Oo extra helping of Synths @ 1:36 liking the build on it. LOVE the other synth @ 2:08 ...just gives it that extra helping of awesomeness. The change up of the beat @ 2:40 just sounds brilliant.

That was really well done mate , I am in no way a fan of Usher (cept when drug and "Yeah" comes on) but that was brilliant.

I've never played the game nor have I heard the theme before (I don't think)

But I love how just dynamic it is with the timings (ever since you done Periphery , I've been listening more an more to them. )
Everything here though is just well done , no faults I can bring up. If it was'nt actually a cover I'd say it was ready to be used in a
Game.

Nice work.

I finally got some time to put up something and I know it nothing like a supply an demand type-a thing , I'm sure most reading might agree that sitting infront of MUSIC or FL etc , is better than therapy when it comes to stress an just generally taking your mind off things.

So anyhoo , with this I just got a few hours to gather some melodys together an I'm really happy with my string work on this one...I took alot of time to get it just right so hopefully you'll like it.

Enough Jibba.

Hey man welcome to TIMGUL

I really like the slow the build from the intro of the bass and bringing in the synths. The transition @ 2:22 onwards with the pad is nice work.
A really good track , as Eddy mentioned I hope we get to hear more of ur music.

Cheers mate...been out all down on granny watch and I forgot I left this on.

Totally missed the volume and bpm...DUH! ...bloody hell , its been a long day I tell you that much.

Also thanks for the response on facebook and the pm lol...danke eddy.

This one might have the most simplest explanation ... but seriously ...

How do I change the BPM on the track...cause I'ma be stuck on 130 for a long damn time with this one.

Thanks to Eddy n Cas for the comments , always appreciated guys.

Eddy - I was really tempted to put in the sorta tom/kick drum beat in but then I remembered there was background chorus melodys I had forgotten
that Cash plays a single key in the chorus so I spent a while on that an obv forgot about beats...so long story short aye, no bother mate I'll
put up the guitar on the pc .

Cas - Thanks man , I knew with posting this track it was kinda like running on hot coals , or covering urself in ketchup and posing infront of a lions
den shouting " here kitty! I taste good! " ... but its nice to hear that its not a complete epic failure , so danke Casper.

cheers for the comments guys...am off now to my techno remix of eye of the tiger...

Cheers Eddy , I had to bump up the bpm to around 180 cause the double-kick drums were kinda lagging behind...just sounded weird to my ears. lol

oh and if your still looking for a copy of Battle:LA , go to - http://www.letmewatchthis.ch/

they have a copy...if its watchable or not is up to you lol

cheers again

With this one I was trying to recreate the sort of split personalitly as I did with " The Light Defeats The Dark " ...where its more sort of threatening/evil and kinda lightens up as the song progresses with melodys an such...aye... :o

So enough yammering...I'm try n find a decent copy of Battle: L.A to view

I think I've booked my tickets to hell with this one , not only do you not cover a Nine Inch Nails song ... you do not cover a Johnny Cash song ... its kinda like casting Steven Seagal and Keanu Reeves in the new Batman movie...
So with my imminent damnation (oo like that , that'll be nexts weeks song title) I leave you with my attempt...kind of a bad kareoke sounding cover...type thing...listen if you want I dont blame you if you cant bring yourself to lol.

First of Cas , hope your feeling better mate.

Listening -

Love the intro strings really nice work em...an a lovely helping of synths.
I really like the lower one taking the bass role , but then the lighter one playing the melody is just as awesome.
The drum work compliments the other sounds so well , it reminds of a kind of laid back dance styled track like Robert Miles - Children.

I really liked this one Cas. Cheers mate.

You know tbh , I dunno whats more unnerving? ... the music or the vid ... I'ma say the music because I muted the music for a second and it was all ok again , I could hear the rain outside...but then I pressed muted again and it was scary again.
I love the big echo-y snare that sounds like wind slamming doors , the pad in the background thats making things unsettling for the listener , the sfx are brilliant I have no clue what ur using but if your goal is freak the shit outta ppl...well done...the sorta "cats on strings" is awesome...every so often the tension builds and releases your nerves like a killer strangling a victim to the point of death and letting go only to start all over again.

This is completely brilliant Z , showing why ur a master of your craft.

What up homes!

Rob - Danke Rob , I love strings and the sound they can add with the notes. The bass riffs in the song were initially an un-used metal
riff that I reworked for this , from the "melody block" on my memory card.

Z - I know , right ? lol its like you making a ballad...wow...that in itself is a scary thought...but thanks man , glad to see it went
      down well.

Cheers guys for taking the time to listen n comment.
#137
lol yep.

Rob - (you may get tired of me saying this to you but its really all I can say under such nice words) thanks alot mate.
I'm happy as larry (apparently the happiest man in history in which all happiness is measured)
And seriously , as mentioned before... if I could earn a living creating...just enough to get even...I'd be a happy cat.

Z - *Bows* lol thanks man , glad this rocked your socks off. I had'nt even planned to do it...it was on my recommended Youtube
vids , found myself playing along to it and then about 30-40 mins later I had put it on MUSIC.
Need to be more careful of youtube lol

Cheers again guys for taking the to listen and comment. :)

"Sorry, you can't repeat a karma action without waiting 1 hours. "

Thank you again ( I feel like I'ma be saying that alot tonight ) , I'm kind of sat here grinning like a flustered idiot not know what to type.
In terms of the "Gem after gem?" . Honestly I think its that , I'd never say I'm a musician proper musician's can read sheet music
they know every chord and scale. ... I think it helps that I can play guitar , the vast majority , I'd say 98% of my stuff is written on guitar...riffs , bass parts , piano parts , strings and synths.  So as you can imagine the guitar play a major part in whats written.
Sometimes the songs that play in my head are like I imagined and flow really well and others dont and I have to introduce new melodys to the mix to make it more interesting to me or just to liven it up...and some actually make it sound better than I imagined.

Anyhoo , I hope thats covered everything Rob ... cheers again for taking the time to listen and comment. :)
#139
Thank you very much for the compliments Rob , I truly appreciate it. :)

I think the thing I added around 0:46 was the "choir ooo pad" thing...(yep after all these years I cant remember half the samples) and I mighta mixed in the " arica string " ? ...the only string you find on the melody page where the pianos an flutes are...I do have a memory like a sieve.
I think I may be have long way to go before I'm fit to be called genius but I thank you all the same and I'm happy that my stuffs improving.

So again , Gracias, Tack, Arigato, Bedankt, Daw Jah , Mahalo, Euxaristo , Danke.

Cheers Rob , the piano work on the intro and the string melody when it bursts in is my favourite melody I've done...well at the moment anyway...I'll end up putting something else up next month an having to eat my words.

Thanks again for taken the time to listen and comment.
