I haven't enjoyed a good trance song in a long while now. At least, nothing i hadn't already heard. You've just changed that. I am in love with this. Especially the Pad at the begining, that repeats throughout the piece.

... Oh, B.G.A, a ReMix of the Sonic 3 Special Stage theme?
This is fucking AWESOME. I love the chilled out, playful vibe you gave it, whilst still keeping the vibe of the original Sonic track.

Trademark AudioGhost sound on this track, here. Definately getting that club feel from it, too.

My only actual complaing with this is that the begining and ending sections sound like they could've held up as an entirely different song, all on their own, just as the middle could've. However, thats EXTREMELY nitpicky, and it doesn't at all detract from the listening experience. The song is still fantastic. Definately got a huge 80s vibe too it, which explains why i've fallen in love with it.

Love the melody- all of it; the strings, the pads, etc.- on this one, AG. It's dreamy as all hell and really catchy.

I love this. It's so deliciously cheesy, but in the best possible way. Kinda sounds a little bit like something from a videogame.

Mellow Moonlight mix: Smooth as fucking silk, with a nice, slightly shuffled sound on the beat. Proper nice chillout stuff. Love it.

Digital Dusk mix: Agree with the others. You can really here a clear Acid Influence here. Again, love it. There ain't enough Acid about these days.

Artic Aurora mix: Another one thats perfect for sticking on to relax, this one. Love the strings and pads.

Interesting choice of Snare samples on this one. Not that it makes it unenjoyable to listen too, of course. It's a really nice little piece.

I wouldn't say it's quite "Dance" Metal, but i can tell you what it most definately is- a fucking treat and a half to listen too. It sounds like a piece of bloody filmscore, and i love it.

I loved both mixes, but i have to admit, i sort-of prefer the first mix to the second, in what must be an odd twist. I think it's the shuffled beat in the first one that does it for me. Thats not to say i DISLIKE the second mix- i enjoy it thoroughly, the bass sounds fantastic, and i agree that you can hear a bit more of Eddy's influence in it- i just prefer the first mix.

Both are permanent guests on my Hard Drive, though, and will be going STRAIGHT onto my iPod. ... When i get the thing to bloody work. -.-

Cheers, everyone! Glad this one's gone down well, considering it's experimental nature.

@ DreadSpawn & ZoDiaC - Hahaha, yeah, i like the stop/start sound as well. I've heard it used in a couple of other songs before and wanted to try it out myself.

@ Dutch - Reading the words "You make some crazy shit" just made my day, no joke. It means i'm doing my job RIGHT.

I'm in a rush, so i've got to be breif, i'm afraid. This is one of three new pieces for a project i'm working on.

Another of the Hell Garden pieces, although this one is a lot more beat driven then the last one. This one is instead planned for usage in warped Mountain Pass' and Caves, so as well as the twisted, disjointed feel that the HG pieces are supposed to have, i wanted to still have them reflect the same 'adventurous' music i will be putting together for the normal area's. Instead of looped percussion and weird SFX, i instead carried over the same two synth chords- the only consistant sound in every single HG song- and implamented a pair of junked riffs from another song, and muddled about with them a bit, adding samples together to produce sounds that are subtly kind of off, and panned them left and right, on top of the drum-machine beat. The song is disjointed and a little 'off' in another way, although bare in mind, again, it was entirely intentional. You'll have too listen to it to notice it.

Enjoy!

I'm in a rush, so i've got to be breif, i'm afraid. This is one of three new pieces for a project i'm working on.

The project this is for, whilst technically an RPG, is not only planned to have a Day/Night system, but is planned to also feature area's of the game where either the perception of reality in the dreams of the cast, or reality itself, twists and distorts into a chaotic landscape thats been named 'Hell World' for the sake of simplicity. I'd say its inspired by the Otherworld portions of Silent Hill, and it partially is, but it works on an entirely different 'logic'. Although i can't really explain that right now, for obvious reasons. The 'Hell Garden' series of songs was kicked off to be the BGM used in these area's, and although some are going to be more upbeat/percussion driven, some will be more like this, and some will be strictly melodic, and they will all feature slightly different tunes, they will all share at least some elements with another Hell Garden song. This particuler piece is planned to be used in a warped version of a Laboratory, and portions of a warped hospital. I purposly went in the direction of something that, whilst melodic, is still damn near abrasive, and features disjointed riffs, looped percussion, and some run-of-the-mill cut'n paste effects that i did in Wavepad, to further give it an unearthly feel. I was directly aiming to go for something that sounded like 'panic' in audio form.

Enjoy!

I'm in a rush, so i've got to be breif, i'm afraid. This is one of three new pieces for a project i'm working on.

The entire idea behind this was comming up with something that sounded very poor quality, crackly, and downright odd on purpose, whilst invoking a feel i described to a friend as "Well, shit, there goes reality, tearing appart at the seems and making a general chaotic mess of things.", as the boss it's supposed to be used against is... Well, pretty much doing just that, tearing reality appart.
For once, i managed to get M2K's flip-flop nature in regards to when the phase effects worked as they should, or instead just added a layer of static over the riffs, as well as the general errors or clicks you got from fusing samples together, to my advantage. I also worked my "make certain samples loop in a way that winds up sounding odd and technically incorrect" habit into it in a few places, but it isn't the most triumphant example of it i've done.

Enjoy!

A track done for an RPG idea of mine, mean't to be played during especially difficult Boss Battles, that was slightly inspired by Yellow Magic Orchestra's "Rydeen". Not a whole lot else to say besides the fact that i'm seriously proud with how it came out sounding. This is easilly one of the best pieces i've done in a while.
And, hey, it's actually FINISHED for once!

I've gone for reworking the original drum pattern a bit anyway, as, like i said earlier, you're not the only one thats had an issue with them. Quite a few people have had something to say about them, be it a slightly different issue with every person (one simply thought they didn't fit stylistically, another said the kick was too "lifelesss", for example). I was starting to dislike the way i'd put the drums together myself as well, anyway. I also figured out that it wasn't the hi-hats, it was a backup rhythm originally made w/ the 'Morning' sample (changed it to 'zap', i think), which i've fixed for use a little bit later on. Assuming i've edited the right thing.

Yeah, i think so. I'm glad you like this, but somethings bugging me about it.
