In Audacity, go to EDIT > PREFERENCES and look under the QUALITY tab - it's the first option.

So I can import a tune back into audacity and change the sample rate from there...or do I have to re-record the tune again? I don`t fancy re-recording everything again, it`s a f***ing pain in the arse!

Thanks for helping me out by the way buddy.

Once the file is saved you can load it up as many times as you like

I always recommend keeping a copy of your song in wav format somewhere on computer, CD, or if not in wav keep your song on memory card (altough in that last case you need to record agaiN). if you ever need to edit the song again on PC or change bitrate it's always better to do it from the original wav file, as it has no lossy compression.
