Welcome to all the new members that have joined since I have been away.

Glad to see the site is still going strong and new people are still joining, looking forward to listening to all the new tracks soon. :)

These are two tracks that I and KeithSonic were working on last year after our first collaboration but never got around to finishing. They are the original first previews that we did to show each other where we were with our tracks at the time. And after recent talks, we plan to try to finish these soon and also hope to work on a whole new project as well, now that we both actually have a little extra time to do so.

So for now, here are the previews of:

Desert Machina & Thriller P.

Great synths in the intro, The mixing that you did on the drums was great. Cool effects with mixing the voices.

Has a light hearted yet eerie sound to it. Really like the melodies, and there are some interesting effects. This track reminds of some of the music in an old puzzle game I used to play called Columns.

Thanks chunk-style

While the original tracks were sequenced in the first MTV MG, They were remixed in Music Maker with the first recordings that I made of them. I actually tried to see if I could remix the two tracks together in the game, but the limited memory wouldn't allow me to do it. My plan is to actually try to recreate the tracks in MTV MG2 or the PC version when I have time so that I won't have to downgrade the samples due to the memory issue.

I did a review on MTV MG3 last year(before the site crash) talking about what this version of Music Generator was all about, Remixing. But still, I can easily see how people who were familiar with the setup of the earlier ones in the series were dissappointed with this version seeing as the options to actually create a fully original track is limited. While you have the option to create original Drumbeats through the Beatbox, and Melodies through the melody maker, you are only limited to making 20 riffs of each. The Waves editor is what you use to import the samples from the library and modify them using various effects, which allows you to be a little more creative with the samples as you optimize them to your liking. But for the most part, the editors that you use to create your own beats and melodies are there to help accompany you as you put your on spin on a track or create a mix, like tools a DJ would use.

This is a track I made about 4 mounths ago, while experimenting with some of my songs. Its a mash-up of my songs, "Sacrifice for Life" and "Xtra-Terrestrial".

I'm planning on doing more work on this project, re-editing and re-recording it to better quality eventually. I was also planning on using this track in as an Exclusive in a DJ mix, but the Mix never came off the ground so I decided to go ahead and upload the first version of "Sacrifice for Xtra-Terrestrial Life".

Nice bass and beat, I like the progression in this track. The style reminds me of a group of artist's work here on TIMGUL.

A very relaxing piece here. Great melodies and it almost sounds like it would make a great lullaby.

MTV Music Generator 3: This is the Remix These are the Tutorials

This is a tutorial series that I did of the tutorials in "MTV Music Generator 3: This is the Remix". I decided to make the series after getting a few questions from people on my videos who wanted to know a little more about it. And also to show how easy and fun it is to put together a track in Music Generator 3. I have both the PS2 version and the XBOX versions, but decided to use the tutorial off the XBOX version because its the one that I use the most. And aside from the slight differences in the Ripper(which is better on XBOX due to the ability to store soundtracks on the hardrive) and the buttons, both versions are identical.

I created a Tutorial menu to make it easy to access any part of the series that your curious about without having to search through a bunch of videos to find the one that you want. I also added an automated voice to go along with the tutorials.

Here are the individual links for each Tutorial Video:

Part 1: Overview

Part 2: Remixer

Part 3: Studio A

Part 4: Studio B (advanced)

Part 5: SampleBase

Part 6: Master

Part 7: Channel

Part 8: Dynamic

Part 9: BeatBox

Part 10: Melody

Part 11: Waves

Part 12: Ripper

This is an experimental track that I created two months ago. The style could best be described as 'creepin music'(as I have dubbed it), one of the styles I have developed(and am still developing) through experimentation.

Created with MTV Music Generator[1]

Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / Re: My music on YouTube

Great work on the tracks you put together, especially like the one Dutch mentioned called "Air", that track sounds very similar to something Royksopp would have created.

I really like the percussion in this track and great piano melody. Great changeup at 1:26-2:06, really nice. Awesome melody that comes in at 3:01 and plays thoughout the rest of the song, catchy. Very cool production here.

Great work, Nice to see your back to making tracks again. Great melodies and a great synth bass arrangement as I have come to expect from your work. Great use of the vocals as well. Top Production.

Cool track. Nice bass and backing beat. The melody reminds me of one of my old tracks called "Ice Cream' that I made on the first Music Generator years ago. I never finished it but after listeining to this I might upload it soon.

Wow, Caspers on your way to international fame! I wasn't able to catch your show this week but I caught a good amount of it last week, and it sounded great.
