Title: Creating channels on MTVMG for PS1
Post by: BoomstickSaint on February 17, 2010, 04:53:37 AM
I have really just started playing around with music generator for the first time in like a decade, and I can't figure out for the life of me how to add new channels to a custom riff. Can anyone help, please and thank you.

First let me say welcome to our Forum.

Okay to create multiple channels.

Go to the main screen.
Press 'R1' on your controller. (That block will become highlighted pink)
You will also see it say 'Set riff length'
Next you simply move your controller pad downward or to the right to either lengthen a custom-made riff, or to add more channels.
When you are satisfied press 'X' on your controller to execute this task.

I hope that was helpful.

Infinitely helpful. I'm so stupid. I was thinking the channels inside the riff were separate from the channels for the entire song. Thanks a ton.

Not a problem. It's easy to forget such things especially when you're talking about that length of time. Looking forward to hearing your music/creations, and feel free to listen to all of ours.

Thanks, I haven't had access a copy of music generator in forever and I just found one at a used video game place. Looking forward to working on some new stuff and rehashing some old ones possibly.
