Title: You Could call it a 'Painbow'
Post by: J-MACHine on December 04, 2009, 07:51:18 AM
And now, onto the "Chaos: A Love Story" soundtrack. Chaos is a game being developed by a friend of mine for his game design class. He asked if i could do the soundtrack for him. And, well, how could i say no?

I... have no idea. AGAIN. This is a platforming game, yet i create a boss song that sounds like a boss track from a early-to-mid-90s SHUMP. XD Eh. It works. The title, by the way, refers to the fact that the type of boss you fight with this song playing too are colour-co-ordinated robots of some kind. I know, i know, terrible. I have a facination with horrible puns, damnit. XD
It's one of the first times i tried out in-song tempo changes. I think it came out quite well.

Enjoy!

Thanks again, Casper!

Indeed, i was thinking that. I'm normally a bit iffy on tempo changes in songs, but sometimes, it really helps the song in question. I also like that the 'genre' of the song changes when the tempo does. One thing i also think kind of works is how, in the sped-up sections, both melodic patterns acctually 'clash' with each other without sounding to terrible. And thanks for the comment on the claps. I've noticed a lot of people rarely use Real Clap, acctually. God knows why. I think it's the best Clap sample, personally. But, hey, that's just me...
