Title: Knowlesy00 ~ Short n Sour (Metal) <ELECTRIC!>
Post by: Қлөщłєşү[¤¤] on August 03, 2010, 07:51:58 AM
Yep...it was'nt a typo.
Thought I'd finally attempt some kinda thing with the electric guitar stuff and see if it was any good. This is just a sample I guess of song , all the elements but at under 2 mins.
It's up just now mostly cause I'm not sure about it...I don't know even know if I like it. So I'm needing some opinions as this is sorta new territory for me.

But enough blabbin, hope y'all enjoy.

I am actually impressed with this. You know how to write metal really well man. If your open to some suggestions, i reckon chugg 3 is prime for deep heavy stuff thats not that fast, and i use sustain C and sustain D together (D is pasted 2 frets down from C of course) to form a deep chord. I use walking bass and another bass to give it a thunderous rumble, and the rest, well thats up to you. I hope this helps - Danthrax.

How long have you used m2k for anyways? Oh and hey what do you think of Authority? Is it too heavy?

Took your advice to and did something with the sustain to see if I've got the settings or sounds right.

I think I got the game round about the time it came it out , it was only when I learnt bass n guitar that I got intrigued by it more , coz I write quite alot and I forget it faster , so here was a game I could write a sorta rough draft of a song on it and it grew from there really.

But here's this other thing and I'll check out Authority man.

Yeah good man. I reckon do a 1234 style beat, real stock, and have power chords that run for at least two beats. There should be an option on the riff editor menu, on my m2k it looks like a wobbly heart beat line, if you adjust that to the right it should start playing the sample later into the sample, giving it a cleaner sound. Try that man, rreal simple stuff, and then post it. Once you have goit that down, you can use that insane melodic skill you have and build on it. When it comes to riffs mate, you have it hands down!

Nice guitar work. Creating rock/metal is the single handed most difficult thing to do. You have some great melodies/riffs here.... I like the direction it is going. Real potential.
