thanks guys-i think u will be impressed with both the presentation and the content-9 is very much a darker mix with a lotta metal and dark hip hop influence-while 10 has a bit more club flavor-i really enjoyed doing the mixes back to back-i was jacked up on caffine from chewing jolt gum lol-i really love how this site promotes all types of music and i try my best to reflect that in the mixes of course-my ultimate goal is to get anyone who is active on a mix and u can help by including an mp3 on your post page-so to those who use sound click and youtube-please also upload an mp3 here if u want to be included in future renegades mixes-cheers friends and happy summer funtime:-D              casper

These are probably the most diverse mixes yet. I love the song selections and including the new artists was definitely needed. Lots of good music here.

ty dutch ,rob and everyone
-ur tracks really fit well with zodiac massacre's dark triphop-all the artists have made such awesome music lately and i'm really loving the surge of metal and hip hop styled music-u guys are using creativity to express ur style and to push the boundries of the software in new directions despite claims that the software we use is too limited u guys are making new possibilities happen simply because u refuse to give up-thats the spirit      casper

Yeah your right casper! I pushed so hard to get a metal sound that was not only believable, but unique as well. I love contrasting different sounds against my metal style and because of these mixes, i can be inspired. I have finally found a formu;la that woirks well for me, and if anyone wants to know what it is let me know :)

theres a lot of skill found in these here forums and this proves it. so much potential. thanx for including me in #10. I honestly think my music messes up the flow of your mixes. the tempo is set and rocking & then you got to slow it down when one of mine comes on... with that said im still amazed you included my work! and very thankfull. Keep the mixes coming!

hey joe-thx for the comment bro-i like your music because it is different-u can tell when someone is finding their true musical direction thru experimentation rather than just analyzing and copying formulas-it's refreshing to hear new sounds like yers-don't be so hard on yerself-your music is true                                                 casper

Well i use M2K, its the only music generating program i have ever had and used. OK, secret #1: The "CONG" snare! I call it CONG because thats the sound it makes, like you can have on a real snare.
Step #1: Go 'Riff Editor,' and create a two channel block.
Step #2: You select the sample known as 'Double Hit' at 44mhz, and paste it were desired.
Step #3: Then select the sample 'Tin Can' at 44mhz
Step #4: Click on the 5 on the side of the window
Step #6: Paste the sample were you put 'Double Hit.'
Step #7: Move the sample start option to the right just a small amount,  so the bar moves very slightly.

And VIOLA!! Your 'CONG' snare is made!! This brick i double up on, and usually make a similar sample with 'Chunky' snare, pasted only once. This creates a unique sound to any song, and if you listen to Authority, and my latest track: Wall of Rock, you'll hear it! Hope this helps! :D

Loved the mixes , like most have mentioned before me and more than likely will again...its just awesome to hear the array of talent on this forum...no matter what style of music.
Thanks again Casper for including me in it.

As to musical secrets...I don't think I really have any...if you there is something feel free to ask , though.

Cheers.

Once again, thanks for including my work, Casper! It's greatly apritiated.
I'll check these mixes out a little bit later on, man.

And my secret? Mixing samples. Sometimes just straight up mixing, some times adding Phase effects, or mixing soome samples at different pitches, but regardless, more often then not, about 90% of any track i do will be made up of samples that have been mixed together to create something knew. I can't give any straight tips here, just simply go into the sample library, pick 'edit sample', press 'select' to copy the sample, go into the sample you wish to mix it with, then bring up the menu in the sample editor and click 'mix samples', and experiment!
