Beautiful work!  This track is literally stunning me!  It's perfectly titled, as well.  Wonderful job!

I would have to agree, this sounds like a soundtrack to a nightmare ... more specifically, the dream sequences in Max Payne.  VERY creepy.  Nice production.

This is very old school.  I have many, many friends who would absolutely love this song. :)

Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / Illness & Fatigue
October 18, 2008, 08:37:46 AM
Genre: Classical/Experimental/Industrial
File-type: MP3 @ 128Kbps
File-size: 7.66Mb
Console: MTVMG1 for PS1

Found on The Second Age: Volume II. Gloom Daemon.

This is a remix of the first track on Volume I. Misery Angel.  It was lengthened, enhanced and as I stated in a previous post, incorporates three bass-lines into the piano session at the end of the song.  The transition between the chorus and the outroduction basically melded the two together.

Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / Re: Nevermore (single)

Thanks!

I try to create as much mood as possible when I compose ... an overall theme to guide listeners through the story the songs are singing.

I've noticed that it only takes many of you 3 to 6 hours to make a song.  I wish I could do that sometimes.  My songs take at least 8 hours (at least on the MTVMG1).  I worked on one song for over 13 hours once, staying up all night and intensely tweaking as much as I could.  In the end, it turned out to be one of my best, incorperating three bass lines that were transposed into piano at the end.

Great track.  Those hi-hats are insane!  I'm not familiar with the music or the games you're referring to, but this is a very nice track to listen to.  Makes you feel like you're already in a game.

This DOES remind me of Aphex Twin.  Nice tune.

The "My advice to you ... start drinking heavily" sample made me chuckle when I first heard it.

Oh yes, a great track.  I could see this working in several scenarios.  The intro sounds very much like something from NIN's Pretty Hate Machine.  And the melodies are exceptionally catchy.  Marvelous work.

An excellent piece, Beoulve.  The forces of combat can definitely be felt here with a dark atmosphere and almost a noble presence.  Great marching snares, too.

Your production and strings are amazing, indeed.  I wish I could transpose the melodies in my head as easily as it seems for you.  Keep it up!

The last track on Volume I. Misery Angel.  I really don't recall what brought this song together, but it ends the album well.

Danke!  <- Damn you spell-checker!  Ha!

They're my favourite toms, too.  I can't get enough of them.  As for the snares, you'll hear many of them.  If you like noise or mad percussion, just wait.  I'll have my discography up soon.

Final Fantasy worthy, eh?  I have to admit, I'm a little flattered.  :D
