Another excellent tune mate. Really great atmos and nice samples. That 'chink' sound coming in over the apregiated blip (around 4.00) is amazing, the two sounds together. Top work.

Hey Gorex, nice to have u here. I must admit i dont make rock tracks but 'Zapphnath' does. Im sure he could give you some good advice, his stuff is very good.

I agree. Its no bother for me to go back and modify my posts and upload direct to the site. The only reason i used mediafire anyway was because of file size( If they were under 6meg they were posted direct).

Im sure it will all come together in time. Just think of how good this board is compared to others..... No ads plastered all over the place, no spam, no flamers/haters. Its because Omni runs it good and sticks to the rules that he set and spends alot of time on it.
Its all good. :)

Yeah its cool! I take it u used pc version? A sample that long wouldnt fit on a mem card!
Iv only made a couple of songs on it, but one i did make used whole bars of guitars/ drums and vocal. If a long sample went out of sync with the beat then a quick bpm change on just that riff would sort it and no one would notice. (i might post it up)

Do you use an mpc? I was gonna get a roland MV8800.

Drum & Bass / Re: Beat Down- (the NASTY '09 Remix)
February 19, 2009, 10:54:55 PM
Yeah one of those(depending on bpm) zap i think, can make a nice triplet modulation. Used both in 'weapons division'

The Four tet remix is the my latest on youtube (took a while to get the vid together). Its not d&b, more break style. 106 bpm. Its in the 'dnb/breakbeat' section in timgul.
Just completed a metal skeleton track which should be up soon. :)

Am tryin' to make more like this, Continual madness. Like the pitch bend  8) Not had much sucess before but it doesn't sound too bad.

Thats wot its all about...messing with the samples, experimenting. :)
Im quite a fan of 'zipper' effect myself. Really nice on subs and low octave hard synths.

Very nice.Clean production.A few samples i recognise, some i didnt.(How did you make it?)
When that reversed cymbal first came in i was expecting it to bust out a big stomping beat!
Excellent work mate. Really enjoyed it.

Nice one guys. Cool idea. My only 4 to the floor tracks on here are :- Elemental Machines (145bpm trance), New York Subways (135 ish?) House. Use which ever one you want (if at all)

I was gonna do a live mix of timgul stuff, but i had to lend out my mp3 decks to another dj friend.
Blaze it up boys! :)

MUSIC 2000/MTV Music Generator / Re: robotic voice
February 16, 2009, 02:20:24 AM
Bit of a long winded way of doing it but this is how i got the 'weapons division' voice on my track 'weapons division'......
Windows xp - start menu - control panel - sounds speach audio devices - speach. This gives you a sentance you can type and microsoft 'sam' will say it.   Open up audacity, (get your levels right, might take a few trys)hit record then click preview speach. Click stop. You can then edit/trim it up, export to .wav. Burn a cdr (use a cdrw if you dont have anything else to go on it!) Pop cd into playstation and sample it. Bingo! Add some effects to make it even more robotic either in Music or audacity.
Note... you may want to put in a 5 second gap(or another sound as a guide) before the sample starts as it makes it easier to 'catch' the sample when trying to get it onto the playstation!

Its easier if you have pc version of music2000, just import the wav.

MUSIC series discussion / Re: THIS MAKES ME SOO ANGRY

I get frustrated with myself cos im not good at spelling and tend to shorten words i cant spell (like esp = especialy lol!)and not good at typing what im thinking very well. I know what i want to say but get a block when it comes to writing it.

I suppose text speak has conditioned us to tolerate bad grammar. I dont mind it really.
