I was gonna post this up a few months ago.
It works....or it did work until i updated the software. Tried it when i first got ps3 about a year and a half ago and it was cool. Fired it up recently after many updates and found that most of it sounds glitchy and notes either emit no sound or a high piched sine sound. Look closely and the adsr envelope settings are gone. I put them back to preset 'long release' and all cool again.....until you try and load up another sample and it either plays wonky or loads a completely different sound.
After saving and re loading the track was all crap again. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Try it and see. The beauty of using music on ps3 was setting the sound output to 'optical' for that nice clean quality for recording.

Nice mash up idea.Cool track. What u need is software to pitch shift the vocals to the key of your track while also matching tempo. audicity can do this,but takes trial and error, Acid is good 'cos if you 'acidize' the vocal sample you can stretch it out and it will keep its key,although you may have to transpose your track to match. Your track sounded like it was pitch effected(slightly glitchy?) It will sound more natural if you effect the vocal instead.
Other members might suggest better software to do this. I am only really familiar with ableton live software and old outboard gear.

Yep defo. Another way to get members would be that you would have to sign in/up to download tracks.(you have to be a member to upload, so how about it omni?) Ok,so this wouldnt work with the 'linked' dwnlds, only message attached files but cool? or not? I personaly dont mind how many ppl dwnld my stuff(members or not) but think this might be a way to bring in some new ppl.

Yeah its good,but what pisses me off a little bit is that these 'guests' are downloading tracks all over the place and not leaving comments. You can see that "random choon" .mp3 has been downloaded 22 times or whatever, but there is only 4 comments. Members with links to savefile/mediafire can view the downloads on the respective sites and also see that their songs have been downloaded many times without feedback.
Id like to think that ppl have seen tracks on yt and have come to TIMGUL to get the real deal which is cool,but come on 'guests'! Sign up and tell us your views!

Thanks pillage, yeah dropouts give me headaches. Not really a problem on this tune though,the busiest parts maxed at 13 tracks(+1 for a cymbal crash). Less is more sometimes. Hardly any perc, just kick,hi-hat,clap,snare,stick and crash.

The 'meat' of the bass(on the off beat) is 'dancer' 11khz modded envelope(straight up ^attack,29 high line>,34 realease''\ to silence the 'pop')sample start 85, 3rd octave.

Thanks Casper, i remember(2002) trying to make a trance tune with a harder edge but keep it 'feel good' at the same time. I think i got the balance right. The latest tweak was adding the lead melody over the top of the hard synth.

The plane sample has got real depth to it,like its 'close-distant' rather than pan left-right. Superb in headphones!Did you do that or is that just how the sample was? I love messing about with stuff like that. Distance in music is v hard to do!

Believe it or not,but it was playing piano like that,that i got chucked off my gcse music course at school! lol I loved happy hardcore up till about '96 then it got cheesy(er!) Iv a few tunes like this that i might upload.
