Rikki... the piano work from the intro onwards is just ...jizztacular.
I should'nt be typing while listening to this cause my mind just wants to let itself listen to this.
wow...fucking wow...I have to say , this kinda production and this standard of melody work is what I strive to create
everytime I position myself infront of my t.v or pc.
This is just fucking wow mate...I can't say anymore than that.
Just so up my street...hell its where I live...loved it.

:O wow what a compliment, thanks mate!

And thanks F2S :D

Hey thanks Zodiac!

You love the bass? I was questioning the bass to be honest, wondering if maybe it was a bit dull.
I too am quite loving of that transition :D

Tim Wright loves my remix though :D

Thanks buddy :D much appreciated :)
What are the odd effects?

Any comments guys?

I am incredibly intrigued by this idea, provided we can execute it properly.

One query, by "popular artists of today" do you mean the likes of... dare I say... Justin Bieber... or artists related to our genres?

New version uploaded :D

Here it is, finally, the final, finally. Hopefully.

Haha, what is amazing about this track is you can TELL it was made for vocals. There is a space left within this tune that awaits voice!
I admire your ability to get such a believable, chunky metal sound from M2k. Nice bright sound on the hihats, though I think the snare falters a bit because it could perhaps be louder? Only because then it would top off the head smashing solidity of this tune.

Hey welcome back mate, I think I remember you! Sorry to hear your life sucks at the moment, I hope your music presents as some kind of release. I have added you as a friend on soundclick

I feckin' LOVE the bass that starts it off. Seductive to my ear drums! I do not remember that being one of the standard riffs. Really works like sex with the bongos! I think you did the tune a favour when you increased the volume of the drums - maybe even a tad more?

Welcome to the "Four Ummmm..."

I'd like to say "Welcome". But instead I'll say "Come well".

For some reason that sounded dirty lol

YOU would say that Billiam ;)

Indeed very good for a first try on FruityLoopoes. A bit Pendulumish.

Nice hihat and synth work.

Fancy doing some work together with FL mate?

Oh my fucking days this is quite something else! Stunning! Particularly when the drums kick in, and the violin...all the melodies together ... wow this is special. In the same leagues as those theme/scores that are used in REALLY classic scenes of emotional upliftment in films/tv programs... this is emotionally profound! I want to compare it to the likes of...Sigur Ros maybe? That is what comes into my mind when I hear it!

My only negative criitque would be that the double-speed drums, for me, spoil it a bit by sounding too cliche-DnB. The slower drums inject a much more authentic and epic feel to it.

Thanks for your feedback Knowlesy :D

I can see what you mean by fun fair music.
That blinky reverb thing is supposed to be a harp :P

Thank you! I wasn't sure how it would be received since it is such a change from the original but I like how it has become a relaxed but tense piece... I like to think it reflects the claustrophobic, overwhelming-heat sense one might get if one was Sonic, running through the Lava Reef Zone.

I use FruityLoops Studio 9, and I find it easy but then I've given time to it. I did progress from Music 2000 straight to FruityLoops. It can take any amount of time, depending on the originality of the piece (in this case, it was a cover, so all the melodies were written), length, depth/simplicity, production requirement, arrangement preferences, what instruments/samples/synths you use.
You can hear the original here
