I am a little upset at this, since I was hoping that all of us on this board could get together behind your back and do a !BIG! ARTIST OF ALL TIME dedicated to you from us...BUT YOU BLOODY BEAT US TO IT YOU BUM FACE!!!

Nevertheless, this is thoroughly well deserved and I could not think of a better person for DJ Droppin' to get this award from than the legendary DJ Droppin'!

Listened to all this on the way to work - I just fell in love with the awesome beats/percussion/loops immediately. All the stuttery rhythms, some out of time with others, but still fitting perfectly! Wonderful, you really stretch the boundaries of what MUSIC is capable!

Very original too...many people would sample someone talking about God... or war... or Love... or the meaning of life... but you sample car adverts! AND IT WORKS! This is when music becomes art and you orchestrated it so well... clever techniques; beats that truly pose your talent for restructuring the fabric of sound and making it something else... while still retaining funk, groove and rhythm!

Top work!

I cannot speak for others but, I understand psychology to an extent and I fully understand how even the most unrealistic and irrational of fears/thoughts/feeligns can still feel so real and can affect people. So of course you fear that you are not liked and that your music is rubbish. Even though, in reality, this is not true.

This is part and parcel of self doubt.

However I know that, if you did take a hiatus, we would all welcome you back with open arms when you choose to return.
I love your music and think it is not just "good", but unique, inspiring and magical.
Do what is right for you, but know that you and your music are valued here.

I understand you did not know what to say back - that is cool :)
Feel free to add me to MSN, and please call me Rik :)

Well deserved I say, well deserved.

I appreciate the massive effort Rob puts into this but on this instance, I feel that he missed out on mentioning Casper's very warm, insanely encouraging and wonderfully supportive comments to all his colleagues in this board!

J, really feel yourself doubt mate and I hope it eases soon, and from the way you describe it it could well be something deeper than just "I feel a bit sucky about my music", but I would like to say:

You know what I think of your music, I've sent you PM's saying so and also asking if you would like to swap creativity over MSN but I heard nothing back. That is fine and I understand that, but I guess what I am saying is - please don't project your self doubt onto US guys. We love your music and I personally feel that your music inspires me in my own. Your presence on this board is one reason why I made the VARIETASM thread.

Take care dude and I hope you feel better soon!

Well now you guys got me questioning myself!!!
I use a lot of the samples from MTVMG software in Fruityloops...but I post all my music under Music Showcase for Non MTVMG software!
So now I just don't know anymore
YOU HAVE BLOWN MY MIND!!

But what does the "Karma: ##" part under a user's picture mean?

Techno/Trance / Re: Spacekid - Lightspeed Marble

Wow..really quite experimental. 11mins!!!!! This track would be why I think the Trance and Techno labels should be seperated on this forum.
The name is awesome and sounds like a level from Sonic The Hedgehog.
Nice drums with good filtering at the start.
Which version of MTVMG did you use for this?
Awesome distorted delay effects going down...!

What inspired you for this?
Such great modulation on the drums!

I love the variety we now have on TIMGUL

Two artists making good urban beats - dutch and koolass! And I LOVE the attitude they have :P

Two artists making good rock - knowlesy and danthrax

and the whole host ambient, house, trance, drum n bass etc!!

Whoever electronic music, rock music and urban music cannot go hand in hand?

This forum is SO hot that if I had tits made of cheese they would be melted onto a nice pizza for us all!
i agreee rik-also want to mention zodiac-his skill and dark style are frickin awesome as well-i really love the variety and also love when the rock artists go techno and vice versa with the dance/techno/dnb guys going for a rock or ambient experimental thing-and best of all i have not heard anyone say-if it's not "radio ready"don't post it,in AGES!the site is officially fun and kick ass again- i propose a contest just for fun where everyone makes a fucked up version of twinkle twinkle little star or mary had a little lamb that would be wikked   lol                 casper

Yeah I was gonna mention Zodiac but forgot :(

Yeah totally agree - I think BGA's circusmania could kick start a trend of well known cheesy tunes remixed OUR way.

Digital Dusk Mix has that 90's dance feel.
Nice melodies and I J'ADORE the acid squelchies!
Very involved and complex.

Techno/Trance / Re: B.G.A - Evolve

Very atmospheric with all the lovely reverb!
The choppy strings are a very nice dramatic effect, clever technique!

The pads are lovely and euphoric!
Very nice dramatic percussion and timpani and fills! They keep the track stimulating and interesting!
I think the thing that sounds like a high pitched vocal is just AWESOMETASTIC!!!!! Very nice inclusion.

The mid section from 1:39 is very nice and well constructed...with the vocal thing, percussion, pads, piano and melody...just all very nice!

Personally, the only thing I think that lacks from this tune is a bigger build up - this tune is so good it deserves more build if you get me!

Techno/Trance / Re: The Universe
September 14, 2010, 05:13:06 PM
Wow.
How DO you do it!!

Your titles describe your music so WELL! This actually is what plays when I do my daily zoom through the universe.

Just magic! *Pauses, puts headphones on, plays*
MAAAAAGIC panning on the acid beeps that pan!
I love the changes in speed...they really add a wonderful and VERY well fitted change in dynamic.

The pads are something else entirely... very warm and futuristic.
Bassline is solid and driving.

This music should be used in planetariums.

I would like to repeat DJ Eddy's facial expression:  :o

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MY FUCKING GOD WHAT A CLASSIC TUNE!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say...very good remix - you have kept the airy, floaty and uplifting magic of the original.
I can just hear Marcella's vocals in my head too...
Very good work with MUSIC here...my one picky-thing would be that I think you might have started the second verse a little to soon and suddenly.

Very nice work!!!!!

Thank you guys, so much!
:D
You guys can also BIG LOVE yourselves since you lot inspire me to do what I do and keep coming here!

I hope I never come across as trying to tell you guys HOW TO MAKE YOUR MUSIC!!! But I know I value constructive criticism equally to, if not more than, compliments, so I try to give the same back - only my personal opinions.

However, I do notice that sometimes I struggle to be able to give any constructive feedback since the quality of the music here is so good that all I can offer is compliments.
