the track title is not to be taken literally lol!
EDIT >
in my opinion this is by far the best piece of music ive ever written on mtvmg2.
this is my personal song of the year and song of the month lol!
ive reached the peak of what i can do. ive pushed the programme to the limit, taking 3 times the usual amount of time to make this.
its the kind of music i would want to listen to at home (or out lol!).
theres a real relaxed, emotional feel that just sweeps through the entire track. im pleased with the overall outcome, although, as usual, i had to delete a lot of the track late on because of the mtvmg2 glitch with notes being missed when the editor is reasonably full!
also im producing on a 14" piece of crap tv... i had to use all my experience to get this sound, as its hard to hear a thing with tinny speakers!
and for the first time ever, i used the max amount of samples and riffs allowed! i couldnt put anything else in, even if i wanted to!  :o

very nostalgic, sad, thoughtful, uplifting and summer like...
imagine that final goodbye...
the last day on a beach of golden sand and crystal clear water, watching the sun go down...  :'(

Sacred Virgo

well i can't say if this is your best song ever because i haven't listened to many songs of yours yet.
well all can i say for now is that the production is fantastic, nothing less than perfect. the song is also great by the artistical point of view. maybe the portion of the song between 0'27'' and 2'12'' is a bit too long in my opinion. nevertheless, an amazing effort.

pillagemyvillage

thanks shell, yeah i like the 12" style, with big intros and outros! so i always go for a big ol intro, if only for the dj's sake lol! the outro on this is shortend because otherwise it would be around 9 mins long! the notes being missed really bugs me so the tune is not as i would 100% want. but still thats the nature of the programme!
thanks for your comment :)

Beautiful work, I love Epic Trance, and this is awesome work.
Love the relaxing strings, and wonderful melodies in this.

I definately need to listen to more of your songs,
Especially the newer full version of this.

Wow this is incredible, I love all your stuff, but this one is surely your best so far, nice job again pillage :)

True to your style and one of my favourite too.

EDIT: I really need to know what is the riff/sample you use around the 2/3 of the song that has pitch bend applied on it, though, I think somebody else used it too but I can't seems to figure out the sample.

Again, awesome track, very complex and it's near impossible to tell it was made in MTVMG2

pillagemyvillage

hey thanks for listening omni... im gonna bump you up to +40 karma now lol!
that sample is from the pad - hardsynth section, sizzle sweep i think. i will check to make sure. it sounds cool doesnt it! loaded at 11 and placed at the very bottom of the riff editor, and then bent (lol) up to the highest note possible. volume is faded in so you dont hear the strange sound at the start of the sample.
i hop the levels are ok, i have no way of telling!

I am not a proper musician, I do this for fun.

fucking amazing tune mate as usual, defo one of the best i have heard from you man, but its is very very close to call as i love all your work and im your biggest fan, awesome production values, great intro, banging kickdrum, love the clap sound on every second beat, is  that ' noise Decay' sound i showed you at my place, sounds very close, again with the rumble bassline, this tune is always on its feet and moves along so smoothly with no hick ups at all, i would be raving to this if i heard it out, no doubt at all,
its hardish but with a euphoric sound to it, , outstanding work, love the pads, and the break down is second to nun, class class class, you rock my friend, you should have put some voice sample in with the USB sampler i gave you :P look forward to seeing what you can do with that USB Sampler add a new direction  to your work, man this is awesome at around 5.16 when it kicks in, wow... the melody is off the hook, great

1000000000000000000000000/10 ;D

.:DJ Droppin:.

Classic Pillage intro, subtle, then slowly builds up....
*Waits ...... *

I just know the beat and melodies are going to kick in.... I can't wait...
*Waits ...... Patiently*

There it is 1:20... Nice snare fill leading to it.

*Waits for main melodies*
Bleeding in slowly at 1:50 .... Nice

HERE IT COMES!
Beat slowly decreased around 3:20 leading to piano/string break down.....
3:30 WOW..... Beautiful ....... !!!!
3:59 WOW......Strings become dominant.... So nice..... So nice......
Beat kicks back in...... then perfect ending....

Top notch! Bravo !  :)  :D  ;D (Can I have your autograph?)

I dont know how you do it pillage. I really dont! That was just brilliant mate. Christ those synth/strings sounded so pro like a real synth playing, such smooth 'pipless' changes. F*ck! :) The whole track consumed me. The drums, bass, the melody.
I wish i could do trance as polished as that.
