Another song I made with "MUSIC" on the PS1 back in 2003 whilst in the Persian Gulf. The song remains unfinished and the video was created using an infra-red video camera which I made and a toy prismatic kaleidoscope.

this is a great song. the harp riff is lovely, the beat is danceable yet original, the reverb is well balanced and the song structure is very nice with that long opening section creating a nice sense of supence.
it's also good for me to see an 'old' member coming back, so welcome back and make yourself at home once again.

can you attach the mp3 of the song on here? i'd like to dowload it, as well as all your other songs

, Hi - thanks for the comment. Of course I'll try to attach it, my old links expired - can anyone recommend a good server to upload them to please? I'll update my profile with links to each of my songs downloads and or video once they're uploaded and edit my old post to link to the new download link.

there's no need for an external download link, you can upload them directly to the site by clicking 'additional options...' when you write a new post. don't you know that?
that is surely the best option because the external links to servers like megaupload, rapidshare, etc. use to expire after a certain amount of time, while the direct mp3 attachments do not expire.

Ah, I didn't know that. Maybe people thought it strange that I was uploading them all to an external host *blush
OK, thanks, I'll upload them to the servers here :D

thank you for uploading this track. oh, how i love it. that harp riff at 1.21 is just wonderful. the acoustic bass with the space reverb applied on it, the drone, the bell sound in the background, it is just perfect. definitely my kind of sound, similar to my own style.
so short and so beautiful (how about a longer version?). be proud because this song is a gem. (what's the title anyway? L1ar L1ar? Ali Al Salem?)

Thanks! Glad you like it - The song was originally untitled - I labeled it as Ali Al Salem so I knew which one it was (Ali Al Salem is where I wrote it at the time). I made a video for it and decided to call the Video L14r! 1i4r! so I guess that is the true name of the track now :s
As for a longer/finished version, I'm not sure if I have the save-file anymore (I'll have to check) it was back in 2003

Wow.

Intro is superb. Oh so clean. Excellent use of reverb and panning!

Wow 1:21 ... you create fantastic melody/structure.

1:51 ... The beat/percussion kicks in with the wonderful sounds/melodies.

Thanks very much - I liked making this one. Wanted to capture the beauty and mystery of the desert with the sinister and uncertain undertone which war/battle/conflict brings and th jubilation of freedom upon returning home - an attempt to blend the emotions I felt at the time.

You're welcome..... You did just that.. You portrayed the desert and everything perfectly with the music and I could sense that.
