Hey,
I ripped my dedicated Music Generator memory card to get a track on Audacity while using Windows for better clarity. While I did get that clarity, I also got odd lagg and the timing was not consistent, it was like pressing up on Music gen 2 when a song was playing and how it delayed.

Anyway, the file is not an MCR file, but will still work in ePSXe, for an emulator and all.
Here: http://www.4shared.com/file/221227004/b3f38a94/TGs_Music_Gen_tracks.html

A few quick things about it though,
Still Alive is a pre-alpha of the Mirror's Edge song that I never got around to finishing.

Supes4 is a beats track that I wanted to make for Quest for Peace
since I am working on riffing it MST3K style. ;)

Have fun with my stuff, and enjoy.
Hearing some remixes would be nice! :D

Downtempo / Tsunami Dreams - A Toonami Tribute
January 19, 2010, 04:47:05 AM
I fucking love Toonami!  ;D
Not so much Dragonball, Sailor Moon, Robotech, Voltron, what have you, but the blocks framing devices. Tom, The Absolution, Joe Boyd Vigel's music, Optomus friggon Prime announcing the block, all that was a HUGE part of my childhood, and with that, I made a tribute on the horridly user unfriendly, but filled with awesome samples, Digital Hitz Factory, or Music 3000.

Enjoy.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

hey thanks. :)
I appreciate that! :D

The trippi melody was actually an experiment with different parts of a changing sample.

What a great track! :D

Hey, thanks. :)
Since it was just a rearrangement, as everything there was
already in the original song, it did not take that long to do.
I'm working on several other different projects unrelated to Music Generator,
due to RL, City of Heroes, and Attention Deficit Creator Disorder???

When I get a moment, I'll probably reupload the tracks that I still have
on the memory cards, as I had first gotten them from a bad source, I.E. audio cassettes.
Most have been tinkered with, but only to improve the quality, and make them more listenable
in the style they were presented in, so they won't be too bad.

Be seeing you.

Back about a year ago, I posted this topic: http://www.mtv-music-generator.com/index.php?topic=223.0
Recently, I went back to that song to try and actually give it that polish, and this was the result.

http://www.4shared.com/file/81325895/40595df6/TourqeGlare_-_Saffronia_2009.html
Enjoy. :)

Based on Vir2l Vision - Entry To Heaven, a song far better than anything that I can ever crank out.

Edit:
(I must say about the older mix that it sure did know how to party,
but it lacked proper coherence... and patience...)

The old and new is a testament to me.
The older one is me at 14, crazy, and needing Ritalin.
The newer mix is me at 21, same feel, same look, same sound, better quality, and more contained.
I hope that inspires someone.

First off, yes, I know this might fall under the commercial mp3 sharing warning, and I challenge that with this: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/ which is available with the tracks.
That being said, I don't think that sharing is a problem.

Anyway,
The popular PS3/Xbox360 game Mirror's Edge has a song called "Still Alive" performed by Swedish rock/pop star Lisa Miskovsky. Along with the game and its song, they put out a remix album, see here: http://www.mirrorsedgemusic.com/

This is where the gray area comes in.
On this page: http://www.jamglue.com/contests/mirrorsedge there is a contest that has people submit their own remixes of Still Alive, and provides the separate song channels for their work. The separate channels each have a Creative Commons license, granting one to copy, distribute and transmit the work, and to remix and adapt the work.
Naturally, I took to trying to use it with Music Generator, but I cannot
seem to do it due to a lack of RAM and Sampler kit....

Maybe someone here can work with it?
I don't know.

If this topic doesn't break the rules, then have at it, I guess.
If it does break them, then at least I can have an idea of what to legally put. :/

Well regardless of how this ends up, or however you roll, have fun with this knowledge. :)
(The track is at 107 BPM)

Oh yeah, a review on Amazon's US site for the remix album kills me: "Track 4: Still Alive (Armand Van Helden Mix) - sounds astoundingly unprofessional to me, like something you'd pull out of MTV's Music Generator game from the PS2."

Nice! :D
I'm not one for hard trance, but I'll make an exception there.

yup, Newsgrounds means it can be shared :) (providing the one who uploaded it is the author, else then it's Newgrounds who will take action anyway)

I like this song, quite relaxing beginning and it slowly gets into the song afterward. I think it could easily be used in a movie intro if not alerady done. If it is alerady what movie is it used in?

Glad you like it. :)
He's trying to get a song in a movie, and it seems like he might make it. The first link is his site, pretty much.

Music is a very fickle phenonminon we all face.
Some songs fall flat and sound absolutely horrid,
others strike a special chord in ones soul and reverberates
through them for the rest of their lives.
Other people may like a song, whereas you don't, or even the reverse.

What makes a song have that special ability to strike that chord?
Is it that it is merely well done? Does it stir up fond memories from
your past, invoking nostalgia? Is it the visions that float through your head,
wafting along, delightfully dancing within the confines of your stimulated subconscious?

Or is just the inspiring nature that the song shows as a symbol
of what the artist wanted everyone to enjoy?

I, representing all good music made across this planet,
present a song I have discovered that does everything I described,
and more, a song that inspires and teaches me to bring myself
closer to my own inner author,
A Magnificent Journey by Denny Schneidemesser.

Goddly... Thats all I can say.

There are only two Trance gods out there, Pillage and Airbase.
All others are beneath them.

Sunset Chasers is still king, but this one seems to be
the best kind when it comes to technical terms.
For the longest time, I had been trying to make either
THAT sound, OR sound like Hydroid.
I never succeed (I had a style my own) but it is nice
to see that it IS possible to sound like Airbase, or the like. :)
