Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / Re: Advanced Robotics
August 22, 2008, 10:05:03 PM
I haven't personally heard this in a little while.  :o
Damn, you're right about it being scary...

An abstract "song" with a plethora of sound effects.
A nice mix. :)

I'm loving the baseline!
The synthline is great too. :)
This is why I got MTV Music Gen in the first place, and before then,
I had doubts that this sort of music could be done on there.

What sample is using the popping noises at about three minutes in?

i found the best use by far is to make it into a string pad.
simply reverse the sample and move the offset to the end and then loop the note...
sounds like a harsh synth pad... awesome!
if i havent explained enough let me know and i'll repost!

Sounds great! :D
I'll take a look at that.

hehe, but still, yea you need to be careful with Music 3000. I had it crash like after using it the first 15 minutes when I got it x.x
Same here, strangely enough.

Oh yeah?
I'm going to need to try that when I'm confidant that it won't freeze.

Of course it will just shatter my expecatitions and freeze whenever I start the riff so that I'll only
get to listen to the first fraction of a note, not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just
that I probably should have expected that before I booted up the game.

It hate's me...  :'(

lol  :D
I'm joking around, I'll give it a go when it's in there next time.

I'm reminded of Tomb Raider actually.
Back at the tun of the centtury, I played TR one through four
while listning to Afterhour Power and Element Radio on 106.3 FM,
and this sounds like the stuff that was played at two in the morning.

To be absolutely bizzare about it though...

I never understood how something like that could be on something like this...
Though it has since moved.

Good Lord!  :o

Awesome!

I thought it was a remix of the Led Zeppelin song though.
How did you get the bell sounds in the breakdown though?
I've been trying to do that for seven years now.

I'm too cheep to do that, so I did this:

Soldering and all.

Can't wait. :D
You seem to be more qualified for it then me.

MUSIC series discussion / Re: MTVMG2 Sample kit
May 28, 2008, 04:42:18 AM
I came $2 close. IRL too.  :o
I got to hold it. It had a big ol' Jester logo and everything.

I find a work around to things I cant have, P2P excluded usually,
and I think that learning to use Audicity might be a good substitute. :)

Granted, I haven't done it myself, yet, but it should work.

This topic is to show a potential for Digital Hitz Factory (Music 3000), mainly.
See attachment.

How did I get that?
I took the riff, Transtastic, and replaced the sounds with the teknosaurus sample,
spaced out the noting so that it diddnt sound ugly, and put a poorly constructed addition to the end.
Bam!
TG's modified Transtastic. ;)

Now, how I got it on the PC is a different matter.
It involved soldering a headphone plug with an RCA jack, and plugging it into a
splitter behind the VCR the PS2 was attached to. Still Rube Goldberg, but its more effective,
but now all is in Mono, which I can play with in Audicity, right?

Oh well, more to come, I guess.
Unless Digital Hitz Factory keeps freezing up...
Rrrr...

Pretty repetitive, but what should I expect? ;)

Very good!

I would recreate another topic and keep both versions, because I love this version a lot :)

Seconded.
#34
Neat-ness!

I had better get to work then on some new stuff to share. :)

MTV-MG-Rube-Goldberg away!!
#35
Continually, I go:
That is NOT MG2!

I am, as always, astonished and impressed with your work.  ;D
Great job!

Oh, iPods suck, get a Sandisk Sansa.

I love it when music comes from this game that both sounds
good, AND like it was not made using the software (little to
no recognizable samples).

Good song. :)

QuoteFunkMaster FLex Digital Hitz Factory/Music 3000 was cancelled for the Xbox in 2004. THey ended up only releasing the PS2 version :(

MTVMG3 is the only MTVMG version on 360

I think you can work around the limitations to make your own songs though, but idk how many samples you can use in the piano roll/riff editor

Nice remix

Can you do UK/Happy hardcore with this program? This question also ask if it is possible to change the song BPM as well?
I've seen it before...
I did a little research and diddnt find anything on it that
confirmed that it had been played...
I guess it was... How sad...

Nice. :)

Hey, check this game out:
http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox/844/Funkmas...l-Hitz-Factory/

From what I know about your hardware (360), this should work better on it.
It's everything that Music Gen 3 does and MUCH more.
(just be careful with it because it's glitchy, but it's still worth it.)

Techno/Trance / FANFARE FOR A COMMON TIMGUL USER
April 02, 2008, 09:38:23 PM
Everything you do with this game always blows me away.
If your music had been preset into the game when I got it back in 2001,
I probably would have had a better sound.
In several ways, it is better then Sunset Chasers!

This is the reason I bought this game, and unfortunately,
I have failed to achieve this sound...
I have little patience for the game now...

Five Stars! ***** And then some! ********
