Great track - really catchy and just the right balance between tunefulness and roughness. Job's a good 'un!

Drum & Bass / Re: Sick! Drum n Bass Nu-Skool style

Thought I'd have a mosey through some of the old posts and glad I did - this track is awesome!
Great tune in it's own right without even taking into account the quality of production and technicality.
Respect!

Your generous feedback is gratefully received, cheers, dude!

Okay, the first tune from my (unfortunately) still forthcoming 2nd album. Due in 2003, but has suffered the... er... odd delay. Will be finished soon. Honest.
Anyways, big growly bass-driven track written around 2001/2. (Has anyone else ever found/used the ahem interesting vocal sample used?)

NB in case you were wondering, the track is named in honour of a lady I worked with at the time. She was really nice when you got to know her, but a kind of formidable woman!

Thanks, Zodiac!
Unfortunately, I have no idea what that sound is either! (See my response to Knowlesy above.)

Thanks, man!
To be honest I simply can't remember exactly what samples I used for these early tracks. I was a bit of a cheapskate in retrospect, and used a bunch of Third Party memory cards when I realised how much room I needed and how much the official ones cost back then. Suffice to say every single one of them died and so I only have the tracks on CD.
I love programming intricate percussion patterns and generally every single fill and break is different. Consequently my tunes tend to take hours to write!

Got some really infectious madness going on - like the way you can even throw in guitar riffs and it still holds together!  :D

Hardcore / Re: Dreamscape-DJ Eddy

I really like this (though Hardcore is not my usual bag) - very smiley happy tune!
Does remind me of a mad night I spent at Dreamscape at Shepton Mallet (in cow sheds!) - must have been 1997. They even had a room full of Playstations!

Parallels - awesome! Even better than Decimate IMO.

(BTW this was supposed to be one post but I didn't know you couldn't Cancel once started and in my eagerness to respond I leapt in before listening to Parallels!  :-[)

Decimate - usual epic wonderfulness - love the piano breakdown at 2:28

Cool track - love that lead part that comes in at 0:56.

Like what you've done with this - tempo sounds okay to me!

Thanks for your support, everyone.
As Droppin says - let's hope this raises everyone's profiles and leads to greater things!

My first TIMGUL exclusive track, but as space for uploads is limited on SoundCloud, not the last.
Still with my first album, so written in 1999.
Freaky, funky, up-and-downtempo number. Let me know if it catches your groove!
(Jeez, who writes this crap?)

Lovely tune, but I'd be surprised if it was made using 'Music' samples. The bass is a classic one I recognise from various late 90's hardstep/techstep records.

Lovely track - great production and fine melody.  :)

Hi, just a quick message to anyone here who is also on SoundCloud - my brother (DeadKousin) and I have set up a group aimed at Music users (of whatever flavour!). I'm hoping to create a bit of cross-pollination between TIMGUL and SoundCloud (since the big audience potential is there and the hardcore Music talent is here!  :D). Admittedly we haven't finished sorting it out entirely, but the membership is growing steadily. Please drop by at:

http://soundcloud.com/groups/playstation-music/tracks

Not to plug SoundClound too much, but registering and maintaining 120 minutes worth of uploads is free.

Thanks to Knowlesy (share some tracks soon, mate!) and CMG-Utopia for your early support.

Brilliant combination of proper tearing percussion and insanely catchy lead. Great job!

Drum & Bass / Re: Time Is Irrelevant-DJ Eddy

Has a kind of charming eccentricity to the vocals...  :D
Music is as good as ever though!
