Title: Sunset Chasers
Post by: pillagemyvillage on January 13, 2008, 08:01:11 PM
im pleased how this one turned out...
it has an epic feel to it... lots of reverb!
the melody construction is fairly basic but i think that works for the best sometimes!
i reckon this is close to my best piece of music i have made on mtvmg2...
its the kind of music i would listen to either out or at home (i guess thats why im so pleased with it!).

anyway... ENJOY!

wow nice and deep. I wonder what you use as sound samples for the bass, strings and melody?

for the melody i use choral with a low pass filter.
the bass is dancer.
the strings are syn string 3/4, sci fi, twilight, sweep (reversed) and static synth.
add loads of reverb and i think i achieve quite a deep breakdown (the sunset!).

I like "another chance" better but I still love this one too. So professional. I wonder if that can be done in Music 2000?

yeah easily. all the samples used are the same ones found in music2000 except for the kickdrum i think... the reverb is space so yeah can be done

thanks! i guess i had one of those 1 in a million moments! it just seemed to happen by accident as usual!
for the breakdown i tried loads of different melodies to fit around the main one but for this track simplicity worked just fine!
i named the track before making it and i think i managed to capture the sunset!

Bass/into is similar to TIMGUL
I like to use dancer a lot also
1st melody bleeds in slowly at :40 then the first kick/percussion
great transition at 1:47
like the slow down at 3:33
nice song m8  :)
