im pleased how this one turned out...
it has an epic feel to it... lots of reverb!
the melody construction is fairly basic but i think that works for the best sometimes!
i reckon this is close to my best piece of music i have made on mtvmg2...
its the kind of music i would listen to either out or at home (i guess thats why im so pleased with it!).

anyway... ENJOY!

DJ_Omnimaga

wow nice and deep. I wonder what you use as sound samples for the bass, strings and melody?

pillagemyvillage

for the melody i use choral with a low pass filter.
the bass is dancer.
the strings are syn string 3/4, sci fi, twilight, sweep (reversed) and static synth.
add loads of reverb and i think i achieve quite a deep breakdown (the sunset!).

DJ_Omnimaga

yeah its a pretty great achievement, I love how it is so close to real trance :)

147 crew

Human Traffic!! well sounds like it, or maybe kevin n Perry go large..? what i mean is, it sounds like a badass movie tune, deffinitely seeing Club n SUN

pillagemyvillage

thanks guys. i think this track is close to my best. its the same style as what i listen to at home. proud of the breakdown... just like a setting sun..!

DJ_Omnimaga

I like "another chance" better but I still love this one too. So professional. I wonder if that can be done in Music 2000?

pillagemyvillage

yeah easily. all the samples used are the same ones found in music2000 except for the kickdrum i think... the reverb is space so yeah can be done

DJ_Omnimaga

for kickdrum I guess i could go with nineteen

pillagemyvillage

yeah or techno, mean stuff and floor it 3/4. i find using a couple of kickdrums together works well

DJ_Omnimaga

yeah i have to do that with UK hardcore else it sounds weird

DarkBliss

You`ve definitely got talent mate, this sounds so proffesional.

thanks! i guess i had one of those 1 in a million moments! it just seemed to happen by accident as usual!
for the breakdown i tried loads of different melodies to fit around the main one but for this track simplicity worked just fine!
i named the track before making it and i think i managed to capture the sunset!

.:DJ Droppin:.

Bass/into is similar to TIMGUL
I like to use dancer a lot also
1st melody bleeds in slowly at :40 then the first kick/percussion
great transition at 1:47
like the slow down at 3:33
nice song m8  :)

Bass is a force that defies the universe of logic, time, and space. http://www.reverbnation.com/djdroppin
