Techno/Trance / Re: simple trance-first draft
August 31, 2010, 04:08:49 PM
thanks pete for checking it out and commenting-i really like the old school trance sound and 303 cutoff sweeps-i could quickly make short progressive little gems if i could just let go-but sometimes i get uptight thinking about how a lot of producers are just looking for flaws to point out in my tracks-like too short-not enough of this-too much of that-etc- and then i lose interest and end up watching a movie lol-if i could just get myself to let go and not worry about anything but makng simple fun dance grooves(like back in the day around 2004 when i was making my best mmg tracks alone with no idea of timgul or anything except pure passion and love of music),i'd be making several tracks a week-this is what i'm wanting to get back to now that i have the power and skill on a professional level digital audio workstation-just pure and simple dance music, straight from my brain and into the shell of a simple yet engaging structure-i'm getting closer to feeling that passion for music again                  casper

Techno/Trance / simple trance-first draft
August 30, 2010, 04:28:20 PM
hey guys-this is a track i first had as a melody and a bassline in my head 2 weeks ago-i put down some basics and have been sitting on it while i have been busy with some other things online such as my dj sets in paltalk-here is a first draft of what i got so far-suggestions are welcome              casper
note-this track was made with jeskola buzz modular tracker/vsti host and i use dsk synthtopia 2 vst for the melody, also used are buzz native vst modules 303hdreal 303agressoroomek and a wav tracker module playing a found house drum loop from a sample archive-effects modules used include sonicverb reverb with preset(trance/warm) combo delay with preset(europatch)and oomek exciter EQ with presets peercontrol lfo module is used to control cutoff slider on 303agressoroomek module creating the 303 sweep effect

hey guys-i had a birthday on the 12th and my girl bought me a blu ray player used for 77 bucks-had it 10 days and decided to take it back(30 day guarantee)it kinda sucked-i wanted it to watch youtube vids n movies but it really barely worked-so anyway at the pawn shop i find this old dell laptop with xp on it-99 bucks-it had an s video jack on it-but somehow the login screen was messed up so i rebooted it in safe mode and somehow fixed it-anyhow i been gleefully wasting  the last few days watching movie after movie streaming-just gotta say if u can find an old laptop with an s video jack it's a cool thing to grab-cause u can connect it to older large tv and if ur like me u have ton of movie and old  snes and sega games-i have always had this thing where i don't keep up with current technology but when it dies down and becomes cheap i swoop in and exploit the hell out of it lol                      casper

this is a very inventive track-love the panning beat-kinda like a breakbeat the that sweet chugg hit at 0:24 and the discoish breakdown at 45 then slowwww-back to the break-this is really cool-i would suggest that u list to some jump up and dubstep as i really think thos particular styles would be inspiring to u for future experiments-at any rate i really like this track-it grooves well man                                  casper

hey joe-thx for the comment bro-i like your music because it is different-u can tell when someone is finding their true musical direction thru experimentation rather than just analyzing and copying formulas-it's refreshing to hear new sounds like yers-don't be so hard on yerself-your music is true                                                 casper

I do not know the IP address, but I recognize the e-mail.

That said, the reason why I do not want to get signed is because I want freedom when I make music. I do not want to be forced to stick to the charts styles when I produce. As an artistic person, I want to create exactly what I want, which charts won't let us do.

you need to talk to rob lyricist-it was quades email.you have not been here for the regrowth of this community-i have and i have been working hard to be a supportive member-this person made an account for the sole purpose of commenting on my music in a negative way to provoke a confrontation.the new members can see that i have been an active and positive member and the active admins have already dealt with this matter-welcome back season 8 aka lyricist                              casper

thanks eddy for the comment m8 and listening-i'm dying to hear you try a software that uses vstis instead of samples because your tunes already sound professional-would be lovely to see what u could do with some wobble and dubstep-i don't know if ur familiar with "fidget house" but that style would be excellent for you                                       casper

that's a cool idea dan the only problem with it is there are a couple of bitter people who were banned who would prolly give all the songs a bad rate-however from experience i can tell you that if some asshole gets banned from a forum ur on and 6 months later is making up fake nicks to get in and harass you-u must be doing something right lol-i'm in favor of rating so long as we can be clear-it means nothing the true value of your music lies in whether your song made one person-have goosebumps-hum along-dance-feel happy-smile and so on-bring on the ratings lol              casper

heres an idea for rates, lol   great-good-maybe-idunno-don't ask don't tell   hehe

hey guys-i will be posting some of my experiments using freeware like jeskola buzz(a digital audio workstation like fruity loops that has a ton of free virtual synths called generators and effects machines-in essence they are native vsts-this program allows you to make a riff in a tracker gui-pretty easy to catch on-and u can use samples like on m2k or synths with presets.i have built my kit up over almost 2 years and when u get all the bugs worked out it's magic and fast-also effects which have their own prests can be connected to generators like reverb delay and peer control which automatically controls a setting of your choice such as cutoff or modulation-for instance a 303 synth line's cutoff slider can be moved automatically to preset variables-this is called peerlfo-very useful-for now i will post some of my past experiments-soon i will post new tracks i am planning especially for this project                         casper

ty dutch ,rob and everyone
-ur tracks really fit well with zodiac massacre's dark triphop-all the artists have made such awesome music lately and i'm really loving the surge of metal and hip hop styled music-u guys are using creativity to express ur style and to push the boundries of the software in new directions despite claims that the software we use is too limited u guys are making new possibilities happen simply because u refuse to give up-thats the spirit      casper
