Title: Reflections

Reflections                    Reflections                    Reflections                    Reflections

I really changed things up here. I have to say my influence was Brian Eno. Really peaceful song with lots of emotion feel. Very slow bleeding strings fading in/out. Soft, subtle violin and light percussion. A different type of synth bass and panned reverb percussion too.

I hope you all like it. :)

did you move it here because you fear people wouldn't find it in the downtempo section? but this IS downtempo after all.
if i fixed the downtempo link on the main page would you replace it in its original place?

btw i like this new song, its semplicity, its atmosphere. warm and soothing.

Thanks, Casper. I didn't even know who Brian Eno was until you introduced me to his wondrous music. That's quite a compliment even being merely compared to him. Not sure I 100% deserve it, but I appreciate it nonetheless.

Shell, yeah I did move it to this category because you really can't find it on the main page unless you do a bit of digging. If you did fix the main page adding those other categories yes I would likely replace it there. I'm glad you liked the song.... I find it relaxes me, but seems to bring out emotion too.

This here is the shizzle. I think it's just become my favourite of yours, Rob. Out...STANDING!

EDIT: I often hate seeming vague when leaving a comment for something but trust me I also hate trying to find the words when I just really like something a lot and just wanna leave it it that. Rest assured this is godly stuff!

Wow really? Your favourite? very cool. Hey m8 thanks a lot for listening and your comments. I really tried to emphasize on a very smooth/fading sound.... The nice thing about a song like this is that it only took 6-8 hours to complete/record unlike songs such as Searching For Life which took 3 1/2 days nearly non-stop creating.

Very nice, i like the dark synth just in the background.
I am envious of how you work your panning, can tell you work hard on this! (Something i need to do)
Lovely stuff again.

You're welcome. Sometimes I like the tracks that don't represent an artist's trademark sounds and go somewhere unexpected; wild card or dark horse tracks whatever you wanna think of them as. My favourite evanescence song is Hello, and that's mostly just Amy Lee's voice with a piano and later a violin [or cello, can't really tell - something like that anyway].

I know what you mean about creating something that isn't your typical style. I would say on TIMGUL the most creative style may be my bass music as I don't hear anything remotely close to it. My FHT trance style is a little unique, but there are several different trance producers here, so it doesn't quite stand out. I want to be remembered and known for being able to produce various styles/genres of music while doing so at a high level.

Thanks a lot. Yeah there's just one bass synth I believe it's chorus22khz. Panning is really what makes songs sound professional on MTVMG1 since it is a limited program the best separation of sound you can accomplish the more clean a song will sound. I did work hard on it and it is time consuming, but it's something anyone can get the hang of easily.

This is incredible work Rob. Its like if Danny Elfman were to get a hold of MMG you'd get this. Beautiful soundscapes and texture man.

Thanks, Dutch.... I'm glad you liked it. I feel embarrassed to say I am not familiar with Danny Elfman's work/music, but that must be a great compliment if I am compared like this. I'm trying to create a similar sound/track with my new program.

Oh man, I think I`ve just creamed in my pants.

Simply beautiful, haunting, expertly crafted ambient sci-finess.

I`d love to hear some more like this from you Rob, it seems you have a natural talent for many genres!

5/5 as always man.

By the way, Eno is a legend!

Yeah, i'm getting a distinct "An Ending" vibe from this, which only makes it one hell of a lot better.

I appreciate both of your comments. I haven't yet created anything like this since, but I hope to in the future.
