havnt been on in a while...my computer crashed due to a DL of a corrupt file...weakest thing ever!!! lost almost everything!! :'(
ouch I hope you had backups of your songs somewhere if you were using an emulator or had high quality wav/mp3 files. I hate when this happens to me, having to reinstall everything, and since I have a lot of open source/free programs it's hard to find everything again because some sites shut down
That's why it's usually a good idea to have a second hard drive or partition your main hard drive.
A (relatively) small partition, 20GB is sufficient, which is used for Windows (or whatever OS you use) and the programs that you've installed, plus a second partition for all of your other files - pictures, movies, songs, text files, etc.. This way, if you do have to do a clean re-install (which the "experts" suggest you do at least once a year) none of your important files are affected.
I tend to keep the installers of any programs I get on a separate drive (my system has three) so that I will still have them to re-install, should the need arise. I hate having to try to find those great little programs that I absolutely need but can't seem to remember the names of (like that one that does this thing...oh, or the one that does that - can't live without that... now, what was that called, again?)
Of course, backing up to disc is very helpful, as well.
i see....i didnt know the "experts" say you have to do that re boot once a year...that ish took FOREVER!!! but im plannin on gettin a 1TB external...that'll hold EVERYTHING!!! hahaha
Yeah at some point I might try getting another external HDD because I sometimes do backups of this site and when the site will hit about 50 GB total of songs it will be impossible for me to backup every songs anymore on my PC I will only be able to backup the posts, since my HDD is half full and only has 80 GB total

Truly they are all excellent! If i had to pick a fave id go with 'terminal reactor' Great effects, and that beat.....very nice! :)
Have a look in the 'help' section it tells you how to do it.....
You can upload ur tunes direct to the site,by attaching the file (under 6 meg) in message options.Just start a topic in the music section.

WHAT??!! do you think my songs are a fake?? No, they're not. I created all those tunes with music 2000, except for "spiaggia lunare", which i created with music 3000. Then i added some minor (almost irrelevant)improvement with audacity. I used nothing else apart for those programs and my own skills.

It hasn't - I reported the pointless message by "alsoforum" who seems to randomly post meaningless jibberish once every few months :S

Alsoforum was a bot I believe. I try my best to keep on top of banning them.
MySpace is a thing of the past I'm afraid. Since they changed/"upgraded" they suck now. Facebook is so much better, clean, smoother, faster.
Yes but a bot for what???? It didn't DO anything!!! No spam, no links, no virus....just pointlessly quoting for no reason :S
THose are common. Later they can add spam to their signatures.
On my other forum I got an anti spam that blocks these and members under 1 posts cannot edit their profile nor send PMs. I should maybe edit this forum to do the same, but I can't add the anti-spam because it doesn't work on this server (I can't move TIMGUL to my new host because it's too large due to all MP3s)
It's best to report spambot messages, so staff can ban or delete them, in case later they flood the board with junk ads or send viruses to members.
Every time I receive e-mail notification that a new member has joined I check out the profile. If they are a spam bot I ban immediately. Unfortunately as you said later on they can add links to their posts and/or signatures.
Myspace has changed w/ time. Russel Simmons just took over so music should be a bit more relevant now.
