Title: E vs. VC - YT Link
Post by: victorcreed on September 18, 2008, 07:23:10 PM
Created - 2005

After getting my game up with a bunch more tracks, this was the first one I ever did that was more or less an instrumental remix to a mainstream song, it being Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life."

Y'know, before it got overplayed. ;)

Anyway, it'll take a bit before it get to the familiar portion of the song, and though I thought it was cool before, now I kinda look back and annoy myself that I did such a long intro. It works for some, might not for others, but it's a risk to take in anything you do.  :)

hey victorycreed,
nicely done mate, i think its hard to recreate other peoples work but you done a good job on this, i do think the intro is a little to long as it runs over the 2 minute mark, and i would say you have put it in the wrong section of music as i couldn't say this was trance or techno lol but it was well put together and had nice piano, good job, make a hard trance remix and put it back in this section dude, peace, ;D

i feel this has the tempo for a cracking dnb mix! superb melody work. maybe a little more ambient than trance. but well well done for recreating this tune. must have took a lot of dedication and time. hats of for a superb production, im impressed.

Y`know I hated Evanescence, but your version is superb! It sounds like it could be the soundtrack to a movie, very, very good.

Thanks, and I agree about the opening, but I've learned from then to not to do anything like that again :) Trial and error.

And that last line makes me wanna' put up one that would fit pretty well. Another oldie, but a tough ass one. Just have to re-record it again.

This is awesome, however it isn't really trance, I would say more ambient, so I'll move this to the ambient section. Nice job

I really like this...
I haven't heard all of your work, but for me this is your best....
Transition into the beat at 2:30 is wonderful
Love the percussion, some of it in reverb....
The piano work is top notch.... Really.... great...

This is really good. I especially like the FX, percussion and beat. And some of your piano work is really fantastic. Great stuff!

The intro was long but the piano melodies were so relaxing I didn't mind. Great beat that kicks in at 2:29, nice strings as well. Very relaxing and cool rendition.
Great chillout track.
