Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / Re: I Need You

I agree that melodies are my stronger points and drumbeats are my weaker. Find it easier to get a melody out of my head and onto Music 2000 than drums and I always go either OTT with drums or don't pay enough attention.

This song is seriously strange, could be used in an 80s movie soundtrack. That's not meant as an insult, some unique stuff you've created. ;D

Well I called it The Laughing Cow because the main perk of the track is the use of cowbell, I think I got a pretty good tune out of it.
The next track I've got on the go and nothing like this, probably the absolute opposite in fact.

My first track for many, many years. Made using Music 2000 for the PC, by no means the cleanest track, but there's a lot going on in it and that's what I was trying the achieve.

Well I suppose so, let's call it post-house  :D

My stuff is pretty experimental, a like to use random instruments and melodies. Got a track that should be finished tomorrow, which is definitely experimental. First track I've done in years, will be exciting to see the feedback, although it definitely won't be to everyone's taste.

This is really good, chirpy is the word I'm looking for!

Italo disco is making a comeback (wasn't really big in the first place, but hey) and this fits right in!

I really, really like this track. It's get a great house beat and a kind of chillout feel to it. Could have done with a little less of those "break it down"s but this track is great for kicking back too. Upbeat, chilling and just plain cool.  8)

Good stuff as always, gotta love the piano breakdowns and superb melody as pillage said.

As you said, the style is a little harder than some of your other tracks, which puts me off a little, but that's just a personal taste and it's otherwise right on the money.  8)

Oh my lord, this is superb  :o

Anyone who can make good music out of a Rick Astley song is a genius.

It's a bit of a pain in the neck to change, that would involve setting up my Playstation again, my PS2 won't play PS1 games. Plus, I've bought a PC copy of Music 2000 now. Don't know how much time I'll have to make music actually, I hate stopping half way through making a track (which I do on weekdays cos I'm at work), so I have to commit weekends to it. But trust me, I'll get something up soon  8)

Yo pillage  ;D,

I'm very into my late-90s, early 00s trance music - they don't make it like they used to anymore. Nothing touches Sash! and N-Trance.

Anyway, it's the first of your tracks I've heard, and as your reputation suggests, it's damn good! It's a very clean, yet catchy track, euthoric and yet chilled. As people have said, love the last 2 minutes. I shall have to check out this hallowed "Fanfare" track!

True, rhythm does not really rhyme with religion, but what the hey. I'll be sure to check out some your stuff  ;)

You're right, I'm not happy with the key, I think it was simply guesswork when I made it.

Pillagemyvillage is a decent user name too, although I've heard from metal fans that that is an overused rhyme in metal songs, not that I would know.  ;D

The third and final of my 3 old Music 2000 tracks. I've learnt that it's pretty pointless using vocals, its hard to get rhymes and anything meaningful, therefore I'm done with them for the future. Enjoy!

The second of three old Music 2000 tracks I made a while back (that's why they're terrible). Again, the genre may be wrong but what the hey. Enjoy!

The first of 3 songs I made approximately 5 years ago now, a "remix" of The Scientist by Coldplay. Apologies in advance for the poor quality, it was recorded from my TV using line-in recording and I clearly made a mess of it.

By the way, let me know if I've got the genre completely wrong, I don't like to be tied down my genres, so I don't particularly follow what's what.

Hi people, I'm Teabags (short for my "recording" name: Teabags for Teapots). Managed to hunt down this website by looking to see if anyone still used Music 2000 anymore, and they sure do! Had a copy for PlayStation and managed to get a copy for PC off EBay (ridiculously cheap considering its relative rarity) so I'll be back to work on it soon! I've tried some other music generating software, but Music 2000 is the only one I can understand!

Got some offerings back from 2003 that I'm hoping to record and upload, but judging by the greatness of some of the music I've heard already, it's of pretty laughable quality. I'll unleash it upon your ears anyway, my excuse is that I was only 13 or 14 back then.

I've also done some mash-ups in my time, which are also of appalling quality, but hey it's fun.
