To be honest, the clipped intro wasn't doing anything for me at first, but when the part at 0:30 kicked in, I was floored. GREAT panning...everything is in its rightful place. The synth bassline is playing a really cool part, and a song could probably be created with THAT as the main melody. The little break at about 2:25 or so...I would've repeated it one more time instead of it being on that once. That way, when the rest comes in about 10 seconds or so later, it would sound that much more epic. Guitar parts are REALLY good...not an easy thing to do in the Music series, as we all well know...

Really cool stuff. The synth bass that kicks in around 0:25 or so for some reason makes me think of Gary Numan (HUGE influence on me). The melody that kicks in is awfully pretty, and I like how understated the beat is.

Pre-made riffs or not, you used them well. Sounded like you used a few custom riffs though too, or at the very least tweaked the hell out of them. I really like the part at about 1:23...

Love the bass lines...tight beat! Really good mixing job as well, although the main synth part that kicks in is a *tad* louder than everything else.  Run some (very) slight compression and you're good to go.

One thing I really need to comment on is the effective use of the sub sine bass (or is it sub square?...no, it's Alien!) Not an easy riff to use effectively, but you did it well. I'm not familiar with music from the Sonic series, as I only really played the original and Sonic Adventure 2. That in mind, I loved this!

Nice start so far...some interesting chord choices at the beginning...almost clashing, but not. Love the beat when it kicks in! It does distort a bit, which might be intentional, might not...that said, I suggest cleaning it up a bit. That said, good start so far...I wanna hear it finished!

I know what you mean. We may have recorded over 300 songs in the past decade, but those are just the *finished* ones. I wonder how may potential hits have been lost due to writer's block or laziness on my part

Yep...that the "harping" sample. Cool bass intro. Nice use of the 1980 hats as well. Oddly enough, in our 10 years using MG2, F2S have only used that hi hat MAYBE 5 times, if that. I will say the harping sample gets in the way once the meat of the song gets going. That said, good work dude!

Dude...hope everything turns out alright...will keep her in my prayers. I was hospitalized myself for a few days last month...got out and was fired upon my return (for something allegedly unrelated). Things are rough all over right now.

As for the track...I love the piano melody. Simple but effective *and catchy*. I do wish the low strings were on the left channel and the higher part on the right channel. Not your fault, as a little known bug in the Music Generator 2 software makes the left channel the right channel, and vice versa when panning in the riff editor. In all, love the track.  It put a smile on my face, which right now is not easy to achieve.
