News and announcements / Website hacked
January 22, 2008, 02:56:29 PM
I did wonder if it had been hacked when I tried to log on the other night and error 404 showed up. Seems some people have nothing better to do with themselves than screw around causing mischief for others. I'm happy to go along with whatever serves to make things more secure.

Thanks for informing us!

It never ceases to amaze me how much you manage to squeeze out of the original Music program... great stuff as always. I'm gonna have to have a blast with my copy again soon!

Just adding another tune to the list, this one I made in 2001 and comprises my own riffs, library riffs and various adapted and customised riffs. I really liked my use of the voices in this one, especially during the last half of the tune which occur at various parts. The video I made for this can be found on youtube here...

Introductions / I should introduce myself too

Good intro, makes me wish I'd have padded mine out more considering how much older I am, lol.

On the subject of discs not working, there are places you can take non-working games who will "skim" the surface of the discs (however they do it) and usually get them working again. I know because my nephew has had a couple done. So don't despair if your games give up the ghost!

I like 'em! Two them remind me of some tunes that were in an old PS1 game called destruction derby 2. Good stuff!

House/disco / Dark Journey
November 13, 2007, 02:26:41 AM
This was meant to be a toned down version of another tune of mine which I have yet to upload. However this tune ended up being nothing like its "parent" tune in the end. This is called "DARK JOURNEY", its quite a "brooding" tune and theres a change of direction in it at about 2:30sec which I like.

I also made a video for it which can be found here:

Any of the previous versions are better than MTV MG3

wow, a hell of a difference in those reviews..however I'm not suprised, like one of the reviews said.."if it aint broke, don't fix it"

To be fair, many people who have managed to get into MTV MG3 have made some good re-mixes and even achieved some quite original results - but on the whole, this is not the release that most users of the previous incarnations were hoping for or expecting.

Introductions / who am I?

Octamed was a great tool - but was limited by the hardware sound capabilites of the computer. It's amazing what stuff some people could squeeze out of it though and the Amiga was a great machine in its day. It had quite a long reign in computer terms.

I bought this quite cheaply a few months ago and could'nt make head nor tail of it. It had greatly limited scope as you had to base your tunes around the 10 artists on the disk.

Snazzy to look at but scant when it came to substance - it had just one redeeming feature in my view - and that was the riff editor. It was the only thing that impressed me as that would have been really useful on early versions. I've loaded it up twice so far...but its clearly a DJ's plaything above anything else so I doubt I'll be loading it up again.
