As for piano for my happy hardcore songs I had to use chazipano instead, and it still sound different than in old skool happy hardcore. The piano sounds doesn't fit at all

Yeah they were great. Keep in mind that you are not allowed to upload/post songs made with non-jester/codemasters program in the "Music that you created" section of the forums though, it has to be stuff made with MUSIC, Music 2000, Music 3000, MTV Music Generator, MTV Music Generator 2, MTV Music Generator 3, Funkmaster Flex Digital Hitz Factory or Pocket Music. You cna post links to songs made with other programs in the general music section though ;)

I didn't had much snare problems in 2000 since i don't do DnB but I had lot of problem with piano samples, because it doesn't have a lot of them, especially old skool ones :(

In Music 2000 if you place a note next to the other in the same channel, when that note is played the sound of the previous one is cut, literally. To prevent this you must alternate between two sound channels when you place your notes. For example, note 1 will be on channel 1, note 2 on channel 2, note 3 on channel 1, note 4 on channel 2, etc. You can watch an example here:

Sorry for the bad sound quality, I tried to make the video as small as possible.

@147 cool I want to hear them asap :)

@red Aah i see, I guess you are a bit like me then. I tend to get issues getting used to a new software. I started with Music 2000 and even though I got MTVMG2 and Sony Acid Pro a month ago I still use Music 2000 only because I am more used to it.

well unfortunately since i dont do drum and bass nor breakbeat I can't help much but i can link you to some examples (sample tunes not made with music generators) to help you on structure:

http://kanibalz.com/hardcore/breakbeathc1.mp3
http://kanibalz.com/hardcore/breakbeathc2.mp3
http://kanibalz.com/hardcore/breakbeathc3.mp3

of course those samples are from the early 90s so you could change the piano to soemthing else if you don't want it to be old school ;)

yeah actually you can do this in options, altough you can run out of RAM fast if you have long samples. It's better to only keep the part you need. Also this feature in Music 2000 doesn't work in emulators so you either have to use a real playstation or the PC version of Music 2000 (if it's avaliable in Europe), but then CD samples are out of the question since you can add wav samples directly in the load/save menu

Haha about the name thing, for some reason I found it nice tho, and I think it's good to try to make your own music when you don't like the chart stuff, because it bring something new.

I liked some of your songs, especially the lastest ones uploaded in the past weeks. Too bad the sound quality was bad I would have liked mp3 versions (altough I noticed you've been releasing some of the songs in .ogg format recently) :(

Anyway welcome here I hope you enjoy the site :)

I have about 50 tunes here and on my other website that aren't all on youtube because it takes a while to upload videos there x.x

AAh I see, MTVMG2. I have both MTVMG1 and 2 actually (altough MTVMG1 is basically the same thing than Music 2000, but with no language option at startup). As for volume jumping the trick is this: http://mtv-music-generator.com/index.php?showtopic=8

(see part about Riff volume bug)

Cool I will listen to the asap! Welcome here btw :)

Feel free to post your music 2k/3k/mtvmg songs links in the music you created section if you want to :)

As for getting songs on the PC you need some cables to connect your TV or PS1/2 to your PC microphone port and record sound using audacity software. Or if you are on Music or Music 2000 you can use a Playstation emulator on the PC and record the sound using audacity directly from your PC, it will be professional sound quality :)

EDIT: wow it's hard to tell the sensation and night is ours songs are made using music 2000 O.o, this is very professional, only way to hear the difference is the mono samples and the synth/pad in Night is out going louder suddently sometimes, caused by the starting volume of the next riff being higher than the currently playing one. I love them it reminds me eurodance :)

The problem is that sometimes I start liking a tune more than another then the opposite happens, also I listen to non techno music as well from time to time, so the following list isn't permanent and I only included electronic music in it with the years, as lot of the stuff isn,t very new

DJ Blaze - Till The Day (Blizzard Remix) - 2002
Scott Brown - Elysium - 1999
First Base - Love Is Paradise - 1995
The Free - Lover On The Line - 1994
Blue Nature - A Life So Changed - 1999 (titanic theme trance remix)
Rotate - Lovedream (Radio remix) - 1996
Ice MC - Give Me The Light - 1996
Eclipse - Things You Do (Gammer Remix) - 2005
Loft - Mallorca - 1996
Lost Witness-7 Colours - 2000

yeah, altough 30 of them seems to be spambots :( (those automatic registered accounts that post pornographic content and advertisements everywhere on the internet, which are blocked on this site because of the tricky validation process)

Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / Escape from life
November 29, 2007, 08:42:41 AM
Artist: DJ Omnimaga
Title: Escape From Life
Year: 2007
Sample rate: 128kbps
Comments: A pretty dreamy freeform hardcore song I did while feeling down. This one is different not only for the instrument used in some places but also because the beat is 1/3 instead of 1/4. Just listen to it so you know what I mean. Just be careful to fall into dreams too much

Other interests / MSN hacked
November 24, 2007, 01:04:26 AM
Someone (I think blizz, but I think it wasn't his fault) sent me a virus on MSN which caused my account password to be grabbed by some site,, so it kept spamming everybody on my buddy list non stop. Since MSN profile settings page has problems It wouldnt let me change my password so I had to delete/block everyone from my omnimaga@gmail.com buddy list and create a fresh new account. So if you want to add me back my new MSN is:

News and announcements / Youtube group opened
November 23, 2007, 03:36:56 AM
Pillagemyvillage has just opened a group on Youtube for MTV Music Generator 1 and 2, Music 2000 and Music 3000 users. The group can be located here:

http://www.youtube.com/group/mtvmusicgenerator

Spread the word to others so they submit their MTVMG stuff here, thus, making finding people who use those programs as well as their songs much easier. Also don't forget to tell them about this forum so we can bring the whole MTVMG community together! :)

Lost songs (MUSIC/MTVMG) / A New World To Discover 2008
November 21, 2007, 09:50:01 AM
Artist: DJ Omnimaga
Title: A New World To Discover 2008
Year: 2007
Sample rate: 128kbps
Comments: I've been thinking about doing this for months, and here is it today: an U.K. hardcore remix of the happy hardcore song "A New World To Discover" released during winter 2007 that lot of people liked. If you prefer today hardcore music such as Breeze & Styles stuff you will like this song even better. It is much more trancy and harder than the original and my best UK hardcore attempt so far and it doesn't fade out like the original version.

Yes it was made with Music 2000 and no I did not used any external samples, proving that more stuff can be done with the program ;) (I'm sure even more can be done)
