thank you for uploading this track. oh, how i love it. that harp riff at 1.21 is just wonderful. the acoustic bass with the space reverb applied on it, the drone, the bell sound in the background, it is just perfect. definitely my kind of sound, similar to my own style.
so short and so beautiful (how about a longer version?). be proud because this song is a gem. (what's the title anyway? L1ar L1ar? Ali Al Salem?)

Thanks! Glad you like it - The song was originally untitled - I labeled it as Ali Al Salem so I knew which one it was (Ali Al Salem is where I wrote it at the time). I made a video for it and decided to call the Video L14r! 1i4r! so I guess that is the true name of the track now :s
As for a longer/finished version, I'm not sure if I have the save-file anymore (I'll have to check) it was back in 2003

geez.. the days of the amiga.. i remember my mate had a 500.. best game by a mile was speedball 2!

"Ice-cream, Ice-cream" yeah Speedball was a great game along with "Agony" which had some awesome piano music at the beginning too:

http://team.back2roots.org/Music/Files/?find=agony

In fact, BTTR site has lots (and lots) of Amiga "Chip music" across all genres for free download! They're all small file-sizes too!

I'm all for it but not sure how to make it so as I'm still trying to get used to the admin tools. Also, my incontinent PC won't even give me a display so I can't go online with it so using a family member's PC right now. STUPID TECHNOLOGY.

Oh, no worries!! Don't stress about it -the site's great as it is :)

Yeah, that's what I'd imagined - that would be great in my opinion :D

Is it possible to see all the music (past & present) which has been created by a particular member on one page?
If not, would it be possible for us to paste links to our music on our Profile in a "Music by this Member:" box? Kind of like an album track-listing.
That way we can quickly keep track of each others music and it might encourage more production.
Either that or we could each create a thread on a new topic just for links to all of our music downloads which can be added in the "My Website" box of our profile. We could update the thread as we add more music to the site.
I thought about adding the links to my sig but then I thought it would get annoying for people as the list of tracks got longer and longer.

there's no need for an external download link, you can upload them directly to the site by clicking 'additional options...' when you write a new post. don't you know that?
that is surely the best option because the external links to servers like megaupload, rapidshare, etc. use to expire after a certain amount of time, while the direct mp3 attachments do not expire.

Ah, I didn't know that. Maybe people thought it strange that I was uploading them all to an external host *blush
OK, thanks, I'll upload them to the servers here :D

this is a great song. the harp riff is lovely, the beat is danceable yet original, the reverb is well balanced and the song structure is very nice with that long opening section creating a nice sense of supence.
it's also good for me to see an 'old' member coming back, so welcome back and make yourself at home once again.

can you attach the mp3 of the song on here? i'd like to dowload it, as well as all your other songs

, Hi - thanks for the comment. Of course I'll try to attach it, my old links expired - can anyone recommend a good server to upload them to please? I'll update my profile with links to each of my songs downloads and or video once they're uploaded and edit my old post to link to the new download link.

MUSIC / Re: music poll!
October 16, 2009, 10:26:44 PM
MUSIC is awesome! It's almost as good as octaMED was on the Amiga. It's intuitive and quick to learn and create. I love it.

*Edit*
Does everyone know that this works on a PSP too (as long as you have cutom firmware running)! You can make shed-loads of music on-the-move and just record it to PC from the head-phone jack!!!

Great news for PSP owners - just managed to get Music to work on my PSP - MTV Music Generator and other PSX music software will work too! My favourite Music Creation Software just went portable, yay!!

1- Install custom firmware (warning - voids warranty and may damage the PSP if not careful) (I'm using CFW 5.00 M33-6 at the moment)
2- Rip an image of the Game disc (or download as a torrent, as you own an original copy)
3- Convert the image into an eboot.PBP (or download as a torrent, as you own an original copy)
4- Place the eboot into the PSP>GAME folder of the memory card

It will even run the WinUAE "Amiga" emulator too so you should, hopefully, be able to run octaMED on it with the samples stored on your memory card. lol (good old days!)

A bit off topic butWinUAE is a good Amiga emulator and WHDLoad (which takes the pain out of setting it up)
Here's a link to a site with all the Amiga Music Demos (and of course all the games, lol) :D

WinUAE (the best? Amiga emulator)
http://www.winuae.net/

Amiga Kickstart ROMs (needed to make the emulator work - torrent, sorry couldn't find a DDL)
http://www.torrentz.com/e9ad249da2c285c2429ad63540e22ad26f66769c

WHDLoad (runs the Amiga floppy disks from your harddrive)
http://www.whdload.de/index.html

Games and Demos (*note that demos are music/animations etc - not demos of games!)

Another song I made with "MUSIC" on the PS1 back in 2003 whilst in the Persian Gulf. The song remains unfinished and the video was created using an infra-red video camera which I made and a toy prismatic kaleidoscope.

MUSIC / Can anyone re-make 'Music' CD?
December 09, 2007, 07:09:18 AM
Quoteyou can probably get hold of a sample CD, beats etc and just upload from music2000 options.. hope you understand.. or maybe i'm missing the point??
Thanks.

I only use 'Music' - didn't like 'Music 2000' even though it contained many of the features I mentioned in the customer response form for 'Music'. It seemed a bit clumsy and they'd changed the user interface a lot.  ;)

MUSIC / Can anyone re-make 'Music' CD?
November 09, 2007, 10:55:33 PM
Do any of you know if it's possible to copy the Playstation 'Music' game disc to a PC and the replace all the original instrument files with your own samples before re-burning it to a new disc that'll work on a Playstation? This would open up some exciting possibilities for me if I could change the samples somehow :)

Cheers, Pete.
