i hate to hear when anyone gifted gives up just making music-the way i feel is i was a born star wheather my music is sold or given away-i'm just a born recording artist plain and simple and nothing can change that except me giving up-all of the guys like eddy and dan who say they are quitting are born artists just like me-just like all of you-it's not money or fame that makes you a star-it's the passion and talent god gave you-take a break but never give up--casper

ty arcane-when i did this cover it was a very quick thing-i just kinds found the chords that suited the way i wanted to sing it-i made the backing track on music(generator 1)then put the wav i recorded into magix music maker 10 to laydown a vocal track-only 1 take-this is an example of a track that just felt like a miracle-like god was involved because it just happened so fast and natural-i had been listening to this song and famous blue raincoat and i kept feeling this vibe-ty for your comments            casper

i'm a fan of nine inch nails all the way back to 90 when i first heard songs from 'pretty hate machine'-i'm very familiar with the original and the johnny cash version-this is quite a brilliant instrumental arrangement-taking the theme of the song(outrage from self hatred)into a grand meditation of existential awareness-it's definitely not the worst cover of hurt i have heard

great job m8-keep it up---seee you in hell bro----------------casper :-D

Techno/Trance / Re: Beyond the Pain is Beauty
March 17, 2011, 03:27:01 PM
thx eddy:)i made this with jeskola buzz-the main melody is a vsti plugin called ZynAddSubFx-it's actually a stand alone synth freeware that has been converted to a vsti with a wrapper-it has some fantastic stock presets-all the rest are native buzz effects and instrument plugins including 303 bass synths,808 and 909 style drum machines-the pad is a preset from zynaddsubfx called long space choir and i have routed it thru a pitch shifter effect plugin to give it a broad sound-also used sonic reverb plugin, combo delay, stereo box pro on max bass preset, peer lfo for bassline cutoff control, and oomek exiter for a little EQ sweetening on some parts---cheers    casper
edit--i forgot to include one effects plugin that is essential in many of my buzz tracks-fsm wahpro 2-a filter box with about 80 presets that can make sweeps of varying textures for that trippy sound

thanks very much guys for checkin it out-i classify my own particular style as "poptronica" meaning an eclectic mix of popular electronic dance genres such as house,trance,brakbeat,etc-i'm way to crazy to be tied to one particular style however i love using 303 acid synths in all my stuff-the fuzzy swirling is prolly the tb4004-a modified 303 stle bass synth with chord generator-i have roued this thru a filter effect call 128 wind which controls a bandpass fliter at 128 ticks(bars)that is in turn routed to a combo delay which makes the swirl-the bass is oomek agressor 303 with a peer control lfo effect assined to control the cutoff-this creates the sweep effect-the main melody is the fdm infector on a preset called space flute-routed to delay-the drums are ers kick,909 and 808 rout drum vsti-thx again for listening-i am planning to make more trance on jeskola and some instant house with loops and sound fonts in another program have-magix music maker 2005   cheers    casper
