Title: Transcend

I really worked hard on this one. Various chants, strings, and smooth booming bass. Quite a bit of percussion for me on this one. A lot of fine detail to panning. A complex, but I feel relaxing vibe that can bring out an emotional sense to it.

Cool bass, Really like the chants, and great beat. Nice spacey pads and melody panning and a cool production.

Thanks for listening.  :) All about the bass. In fact I think I may be the only producer creating "bass" music? I have dabbled into my FHT trance as I call it, but my roots are definitely bass music. It would be great if we had another member creating such music.

I notice you actually label the mp3s as bass.
Well for start a typical crisp opening. You do get a neat sound finish, is it PS1 or PC version of Music?
As said great start, great arrangement and lush panning, so much depth in the sound. Histring in at 1.50 is sweet, gives a nice happy feel, arp progression too is great. Really unusual arp direction, much lower, add a touch of sadness.
Past the break, stronger strings here are well implimented. In fact I like them more than the pads.

Lush tune.

Thanks for listening... This was with Ps1/MTV MG1 MUSIC..... All my songs are. Thanks for the detailed comments. I did a version with the pads, then with strings.... and yeah the strings just had a better tough rounding out the sound I wanted. For a bass song this one does have a lot of emotion to it. I am glad you liked it.

Yeah the pads and strings give it the extra dimension, it makes you want to listen to the end.
How do you get such a crisp recording?

I'm not really sure. I just have my stereo cables running from my PS1 to the 'Line in' slot on my hard drive. Then I record in Audacity at 192kpbs. I like to use the Space reverb for my songs usually from 35-50 setting as it seems to give far more depth.

Hmm I think its a little crisper than mine, I will have to check my setting but I am struggling to get Audacity working with windows 7. It records then converts to MP3 but the MP3 plays silent.

Oh.... I dunno anything about Windows 7 besides it takes a ton of RAM... I have XP and don't know if I'll upgrade. I hope you get that sorted soon.

Surley you know what words my comments on your work will contain by now?

How about, incredible, beautiful, professional...you get the idea.

Seriously though, this track is awsome Rob, beautiful, sci fi other worldly-ness in abundance. Gorgeous use of pads and strings and as Nak mentioned top class production values, so crisp and clean.

I just can`t fault your work mate, brilliant stuff once again.

Thanks a lot man. I think I've listened to this song maybe 25 times trying to find any imperfections such as note interference, or cluttered sound, etc.... I have to say I'm real pleased the sound I captured I feel it's unlike any of my other songs.. Seems to have a more dramatic sound to it....

Really pretty melody...for some reason I cannot get the great sound you do...I think my PS2 is outputting mono, or I have a bad cable somewhere. In any case, I cannot even attempt the lush panning you achieved here.  I gotta put this on a mix cd, this is perfect to drive to.

Another great one!

Thanks a lot man. I was really going for a peaceful chanting feel. Ended up with that and booming smooth bass. Hmmm maybe you need 2 replace a cord? Unsure... Hope you get it sorted.

What can I say thats not already been said ?

It did everything you said it would on your description.
Its just so... gloriously peaceful. The vox-pad , the strings , the beat , the percussion , the panning...there truly is nothing to fault here.
Amazing.

Your normal, awesome goodness. Love the low sub sine bass...bass sounds like something we would do (is that a formant kick?), only a better melody than I could come up with.

Love it!
