Title: Teknosaurus
Post by: TourqeGlare on May 28, 2008, 03:19:52 AM
This topic is to show a potential for Digital Hitz Factory (Music 3000), mainly.
See attachment.

How did I get that?
I took the riff, Transtastic, and replaced the sounds with the teknosaurus sample,
spaced out the noting so that it diddnt sound ugly, and put a poorly constructed addition to the end.
Bam!
TG's modified Transtastic. ;)

Now, how I got it on the PC is a different matter.
It involved soldering a headphone plug with an RCA jack, and plugging it into a
splitter behind the VCR the PS2 was attached to. Still Rube Goldberg, but its more effective,
but now all is in Mono, which I can play with in Audicity, right?

Oh well, more to come, I guess.
Unless Digital Hitz Factory keeps freezing up...
Rrrr...

I finally got Music 3000 and might experiment this at one point sometimes. Technosawrus is my favourite trance sample in Music 3000. however, I prefer it after I remove all frequency under 4000 Hz usinf note filters for some reasons. It seems more harsh

Oh yeah?
I'm going to need to try that when I'm confidant that it won't freeze.

Of course it will just shatter my expecatitions and freeze whenever I start the riff so that I'll only
get to listen to the first fraction of a note, not that there is anything wrong with that, it's just
that I probably should have expected that before I booted up the game.

It hate's me...  :'(

lol  :D
I'm joking around, I'll give it a go when it's in there next time.

hehe, but still, yea you need to be careful with Music 3000. I had it crash like after using it the first 15 minutes when I got it x.x

teknosaurus is the best sample by far, its just awsome, especially when reversed.
i would use music 3000 daily, but it just crashes all the time! so annoying!

mhmm now that you mention reversed... I wonder... I should try having a copy of it panned to the right and a non reversed one to the left to see what happens. I am curious if it will create a cool effect :)

i found the best use by far is to make it into a string pad.
simply reverse the sample and move the offset to the end and then loop the note...
sounds like a harsh synth pad... awesome!
if i havent explained enough let me know and i'll repost!
