Thanks dude! I actually did the entire beat & bassline first, then Dana added the synth part and the synth guitar parts over it. Kinda ended up sounding almost like reggae.

See how many of the MG2 samples you can name!

edit

here it is on youtube

A man walks into a bar and asks the bartender, "Yo Dude...if I show you the most amazing thing in the world, can I get a free beer?" Bartender's all like "yeah, man, but it's gotta be cool". So the guy reaches into his pocket and pulls out a hamster and a tiny piano. Hamster's all jammin, playing some ragtime. Bartender's floored. "Damn, dude, that was cool. Here's your free beer". Guy's all like "nah dude, ain't done yet". So, he reaches into his other pocket and pulls out a frog. Frog starts singing "Don't Worry Baby" by the beach boys.  So this other guy in the bar, he starts tripping. "Holy crispy crap, that's some crazy stuff right there! I'll buy that frog from you for $50". The first guy thinks about it for about 15 seconds, then accepts. The 2nd guy leaves the bar happy "Yeah, man, got a singing frog!". Bartender looks at the first dude, and says "I dunno, man. That frog could've made you a fortune". Guy responds "Not really. The hamster's also a ventriloquist"

Hope you guys like this one. My wife did almost the whole thing, and I added the beat.

QuoteI don't mind the idea of just putting it out there for people to use, as they wish - as long as they credit me for it.  You wanna make a megamix and you think you can work a part of one of my tunes into it? Go for it! - just list me as the author in your song list and let me know about it so I can grab a copy.  You wanna use one of my tracks as a them song for your podcast?  Great! - mention my name, every once in a while, and let me know where to find it.

That's my philosophy too. I look at it as free advertising.

Actually, it did start as two seperate songs. The circus part was originally going to be another song, but it didn't work out.

My wife Dana, myself, and our friend Raymond have been making music together using MG2 for almost 8 years now (!) and have shared our music on the web during that time (first on mp3.com and later on Soundclick). During that time, we've gotten some really good reviews, and had a couple of #1 songs on soundclick. That said, I've been getting frustrated as I've begun entering  our songs in competitions recently and have yet to get past the 1st round. I know our music is not commercial in any sense (and we like it that way), and we're more experimental, but sometimes I wonder if we should try to go for a more "pop" route. I've been writing music now for almost 20 years (since I was 11), and music's my life. I want to begin to start selling our music, but these recent failures have caused me to rethink this whole thing.

Do you ever get frustrated to the point where you think "why even bother"?

I got one of my songs at

Plan to be making more videos with my music soon. I also got karaoke versions of Stone Temple Pilots songs uploaded also

You can definitely do it in MG2 in the options screen.

To make it easier, go to "options" and change the time signature to 3/4. You won't be able to use pre-made riffs, but I never do any way, so...

Thanks guys!

You can use anything from http://www.soundclick.com/fear2stop. 99.9% of the music there was recored with MG2...the other 1 % with DHF.

Even though it was only released in Europe, will it work on a US computer?

Here's a question... if you do a remix of one of our tracks, do you mind if we post it to our soundclick site, providing we give you credit? Like the title could be some thing like "(insert title here)" by Fear 2 Stop (JCW remix) and maybe like post a link to your website or tracks?

Just a thought. Please let me know if it's cool.

I think this is a *great* idea. I would love to hear out stuff remixed. I'll ask my wife & Raymond how they feel about it.

Cool! Glad to see a F2S track on there. Of course, I'm partial ;)

Man, there are some great tracks on there...

Who here posts their music on soundclick? If so, how has your music done on the charts?

I haven't seen enough people on soundclick that I know use any of these programs that I know of.  But I'd rank the music I've heard here with the best I've heard there, easily.
